So how high will the share price go pre-drill with a 35% retain and say 30 million usd back costs? Given the target , more shares etc north of 50p IMO.

There will not be 80% (!!!) dilution in the case of a free carry + certain amount of back costs paid.

That's a fair view Amtech, but given the comments by BPC in recent updates all appears to be going to plan.

The company are usually very conservative but have told us recently "pleased to report talks are progressing constructively"... i read that as though the major is not playing any funny games. I have dealt with BP, ENI and a few other oil companies over the years and they are highly professional. You will know upfront what framework and timelines apply to conclude a financing and its getting close to the end game now.

Of course, they may still walk away but to pay BPC for exclusivity that shows real intent to me. Remember, Statoil have already farmed in to the assets many years ago so this proves the investment case.

Despite the huge potential upside we just need to be calm and let them do their job now. The likes of Simon Potter have adequate incentive to pull of a good deal, and i am sure he is more than capable of doing that ! :-)

If they strike a good deal, what will be the top end of predictions for the share price prior to drilling?!! 50p...?? Who knows but it will be one hell of a ride for shareholders!

They would have agreed broad terms up front and now it’s taking time for the major to get it signed off internally, government acceptance and documented. A deal with 10% retain will still be great news for shareholders, but I think they will get 30% retain - a very solid deal which will see the share price go into orbit as the drill approaches.

A full buy out could well be on the cards here. The RNS refers to a “transaction”

If the major walks away now, its significant and must be reported to the market immediately.
