Securing advantage: Agile acquisition and supply chain security
This presentation will highlight how government customers can eliminate capability silos while enabling the low-latency connectivity essential for JADC2 / multi-domain operations implementation. Don Brown will explore how the integration of cloud-based edge computing is accelerating the shift toward a digital-centric battlespace, enabling more agile and cost-effective fielding of capabilities critical to achieving information advantage in tomorrow's conflicts.
From RNS; "These hybrid tactics, which fuse digital disinformation with physical disruption, highlight the urgent need for sovereign capabilities in information operations. The UK Government has already acknowledged this priority through the National Security Act 2023, the forthcoming Cyber & Electromagnetic Command, the Cyber Resilience Bill, and the RESIST 2 Toolkit. Project Ixian directly aligns with these initiatives, providing Defence Holdings with a clear policy tailwind and a commercially significant opportunity as government spending shifts towards sovereign digital resilience."
The UK's Cyber and Electromagnetic Command (CyberEM Command) is a new strategic initiative by the Ministry of Defence to enhance the integration of cyber and electromagnetic warfare into modern military operations, enabling proactive defence, intelligence gathering, and disruptive effects against adversaries. Led by the Defence Cyber and EM Force and working with partners, it will command advanced cyber and EM capabilities, invest in data-centric information systems, and use technologies like AI to provide information advantage and ensure freedom of action for the armed forces. The command marks a shift from reactive defence to a more anticipatory and integrated approach to security, aiming to stay ahead of future threats in a multi-domain environment
