The two sides are too far apart on Donbass and NATO membership at the moment.

Europe will continue to prop up Ukraine with financial support and the US will threaten to withdraw intelligence support and weapons but wont.

The Russians will continue to pick off the remaining Donbass towns but it will be a slow and tortuous process.
