Dan, you make a very fair point about the NEDs. They are very much part time roles, as is the role of Chair often. But you would certainly expect at least ONE of the leadership/management team to be full time.
Yes, if I was in that position, I would take the money across the three roles, but if I thought any of my portfolio of companies had serious exploration potential, I would also then be thinking whether I would make more money by committing to that company and taking the shares and options that come with its success.
How are they expecting the market to take them seriously if none of them is dedicated to ECR? Surely one of them has to commit to it full time? All imo

I'd be very surprised if they have major interest from a major. IMO, BT can ramp like the best of them, and I just don't think he would keep that kind of interest from the market, and just watch the share price decline in the meantime. Surely if any of those companies were interested, that would have been ramped to the max, whilst of course respecting the necessary confidentialities:-) As I have been saying on the POW board today on its Molopo RNS (which RNS is very BT/KAVesque btw!), most AIM CEOs rarely keep that kind of share price moving news from the market. It's just not part of their DNA/toolkit. Before Xmas, BT had us thinking there would be JV news "in the new year", but now he has stopped mentioning or hinting at anything, whilst the share price has fallen by a third in that time! Now this could be because JV discussions are reaching crunch time and an announcement is imminent, but there's a part of me that is actually wondering whether KAV have ANY serious JV interest for the KSZ, or are close to striking a deal. It is at least time for an update on the JV issue as we are well into the "new year" now. All imo

Tamer - No, where have I suggested any criminal activity? I'm certainly NOT suggesting that at all, but merely asking about who is full time at ECR and who is part time at ECR. Nothing illegal about being part time.

I don't think we should get personal with each other, because this is quite a fundamental issue and we should discuss it openly and properly. For my part, I don't see how ECR can expect to be taken seriously, if the people that run it are part timers. This probably explains why they are often very slow in dealing with things. At least with CB (RIP), for all his various faults, at least we knew that ECR was his sole focus. Probably explains the lack of buying of shares. Why would you if its a side line. We should maybe look at how active AH has been with his other companies, relative to his role at ECR. How much does ECR really matter to him and the others? All imo

It depends on what constitutes a "good" result. As AIM investors, many of us would define it as an outcome that moves the share price needle and delivers share price growth for us. But from an exploration or geological perspective, they will argue that a good result is one that advances the process towards discovery, or even, one that advances their understanding of the project. Here, whether we agree with these as investors will depend on our time horizon and window of patience here. I've made the point before (often) that it can take a very long time before POW returns to the same project for the next round of drilling. And a lot can/will happen to your investment here in that time, including share price falls and dilution. That's just the nature of AIM and junior explorers. High reward but high risk as well. All imo

Well I hope GCAT/RM are able to redeem themselves and the situation, and there is still money to be made here. Those lth who have stuck with this share throughout all the recent turmoil certainly deserve it, nobody can argue with that. And I will be VERY happy for them.

Hi Impecunious - yes I have come across him and he is very knowledgeable indeed. I was actually thinking someone like KeithOz, who is brilliant over at KAV/HE1/PRD etc, and who I have come across more often.

Lol Layla - the reference to KAV was exactly what I was thinking - the campaign has been a "geological success" if nothing else :-)

I guess a lot depends on whether you believe that you have been deliberately misled by GCAT, or whether you think the truth has been told at all times in essence, but GCAT have simply been unfortunate in the funding breaking down at the final hour. Without re-opening this debate, which side you fall on will dictate how you feel about it now. Irrespective of whether you still hold, lost money or made money (there is this third camp as well, which I was lucky to be in because I acted on my suspicions).

This is where the bb could do with input from an investor with a geological background. We have brilliant contributors with geo backgrounds on some other bb, who really can help fellow investors navigate their way through such situations.
For example, we might legitimately ask whether, following a campaign of 2,402m drilled across five drillholes targeting four individual target areas, we still have to wait for assays results to know whether we have hit significant mineralisation on this campaign. Or whether, there are other methods of detection, for example, XRF, which would have given a pretty strong and reliable indication by now, etc, etc. We can only speculate and wonder about such matters, until the assay results are released in weeks or months from now.
In terms of my own speculation and wondering - and it is no higher than that - I just think that PJ would have found a way to tell us if Molopo had delivered something share price moving. He did a brilliant job in creating the momentum from 0.8p to 1.6p, that I don't think he would allow that good news story and the momentum to be lost by virtue of having to wait for assay results. But again, this presupposes that POW would know by know whether they have hit anything exciting at Molopo, which brings me back to the opening paragraph.

Is it worth checking under Mercator? I recall that ECR is merely the parent, and they are/were the subsidiary under whom all the licences are held. And Mercator is a company incorporated in Australia (I think)?

You see the longer they take to get to CresWick, the more cash burn they have in between. Drilling with two Rigs isn’t going to be cheap, but obviously not as expensive as having to contract them. So the quicker they get out there drilling at CresWick the better. Don’t drag it out ECR and align it with this move in the POG. Otherwise AIM investors will go elsewhere. So got to be drilling by March/April latest?

This is a not an easy market and people are understandably very cautious and selective about where to invest. Therefore it’s not a time to try to put RNS out simply to put a sticky plaster around a share price bleed. That will maybe stem the bleeding but only for a day or two. In some ways it can make it worse.
What they need to do imho is to simply announce when they will start drilling the first holes at CresWick. Don’t make us wait for completion of soil sampling etc because that makes it seem like it won’t happen until sometime in Q2. So the big buyers that are needed to boost the share price will focus elsewhere until then?
Opportunity missed by ECR unless they are about to confirm the drilling start date very shortly. All imo

Tamer - the rock chip results are certainly very, very, encouraging. Much better than what we might have expected. I don't know how good an indicator rock chips are of what's actually in the ground. I'd be interested in hearing from AH (or even AJ) about their potential significance. But my main point is that they could have capitalised on these findings and generated some proper momentum by announcing a drilling timescale.

I don't think ECR has the cash to just sniff around. They have the drill rig, they have their initial targets around the 2019 and 2021 holes, so why can't they just announce that they will be commencing drilling there as soon as the Rig is finished at Blue Moon. Is it access issues again?

When are they actually going to start drilling? That’s what I wanted to know.
