Just listened to it in full and it wasn't the best interview to be fair. He didn't come across well at all. At one point, he said that CMET were not giving away anything when you consider the upside, and in the very next sentence, he said "we might give away the upside to get the deal done." Really naïve to be saying that in an interview, and how does it help CMET in terms of negotiating its deal with Sheffield, to hear that it's leader is willing to give away the upside just like that?

Do wonder whether Sheffield are going to get this on the cheap, and who is in the driving seat.

Deal looks very much like it will be concluded. Both parties appear to have agreed the stages involved.

Sheffield only funding 50% of the project, with CMET funding the other 50% would make no sense. That would be like giving them their share of the project for nothing gained in return really other than bringing them in as a partner for their expertise. So I think it's Sheffield funding the initial capex to get into first production (producing concentrate), and then the project itself will pay for the remainder.

I didn't say anything about 50p. It was a more modest statement, namely, "just focus on whether or not you see upside in this share from its current 17p over the next 10 weeks."

I definitely see significant upside from 17p during this period, and so for me, it's a case of adding what you can at these levels. I don't have a price target, I will just let it play out and take whatever upside it delivers within my timeframe for holding. Whether that's 25p or 50p, or somewhere in between, it's a very good and high probability opportunity imho.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. We are still in May and not at the end of May. Furthermore, the whole OMI team is in Columbia, seemingly preparing the drill programme. If anything was wrong, they wouldn't be tweeting in the way they are, especially riding on donkeys, or talking about drilling contractors. It's all pointing to resolution of the deal and the drilling programme to me. More a case of exactly when, not if. If we don't get an update by 10 June latest, I might begin to wonder. All imo and GLA

Yes, I forgot about HE1 - it's definitely one to get in AFTER the fundraise. The great thing is that WE know it's going to happen (even though the rampers on the BB will tell you otherwise) and so we can just wait for the inevitable to happen. Once it does, HE1 might be the best money maker for Q3/Q4 - probably even more so than HEX at that point!

Ignore any trolling guys and also don't get overly distracted by what might or might not happen by X 2025. On AIM, I find that it pays (often literally) to not look too far beyond the end of your own nose. Just focus on whether or not you see upside in this share from its current 17p over the next 10 weeks.

I know folk who are looking to add or buy HEX in the coming days and weeks. At the moment it's a slow consolidation, so such folk think they have time to get in. But at some stage, this consolidation will stir into life and we will see another push up. I feel very confident of that. All imo and GLA

With this sidetrack business, if it had gone badly, would the market not have heard by now? Or are we still within the timeframe where the news could go either way.

Thought it might be worth starting a thread, sharing our current tips for the next 3 months and why. Mine as follows:

KAV - share is in an uptrend. Fully funded and will be drilling for copper and gold. Tightly held stock.

HEX - consolidating in readiness for the next move up. About 10 weeks from drilling. Small free float.

OMI - should be about 10 days away from a make or break RNS. Not a large float so can move quick.

CMET - should be concluding a financing deal with ASX listed Sheffield Resources. Small free float

CHAR - currently drilling at onshore Morocco and then has a massive drill coming up in August (obviously success here will depend on the drilling results, but I think the August drill is more appraisal than exploration).

KAT - bit of a punt based on PP's insights. Could hot up by July

What are you folk keen on right now?

I echo what others have said. Price will move back up once all the consolidating process is done, and there might even be a shakeout before it does. It's all part of the laws of share price physics imho. We are about 10 weeks from drilling and the share price will react positively to the positive newsflow during this period. All imo and GLA

PFG - okay, I guess it's irrelevant now anyway. Onwards and upwards with Sheffield, and hopefully an offtake deal with LB Group further down the line.

I'm sure we will get an update by the end of the first week in June at latest. OMI are savvy enough to keep feeding us with tweets in the meantime to indicate that things are progressing.

Strange price action really in that it's not really giving a clear buy or sell signal. If anything, any rise appears to be sold into, which isn't a great sign. Therefore, it's a pure conviction trade really - either you believe this sidetrack will be successful, or you don't. If you cannot be sure, then it's a pure punt/gamble.
