#Herbert Im surprised the site hasn't intervened and closed him down, and I'm not surprised at all that GF (even though I'm annoyed at him at times) is hopefully takeing legal action,.I do think what he has written has affected the sp by putting off new investers, action needs to be taken.
I've just for the first time looked at this Ryan character on advn,it is shocking how he is muck spreading bad words about alba, people can have a moan they have every right to but this is somethink else .no wonder the sp isn't climbing with this crap being written.

While it makes sense to study institutional ownership data for a company, it also makes sense to study analyst sentiments to know which way the wind is blowing. As far as we can tell there isn't analyst coverage of the company, so it is probably flying under the radar.
Many institutions measure their performance against an index that approximates the local market. So they usually pay more attention to companies that are included in major indices.
We can see that Alba Mineral Resources does have institutional investors; and they hold a good portion of the company's stock. This can indicate that the company has a certain degree of credibility in the investment community. However, it is best to be wary of relying on the supposed validation that comes with institutional investors. They too, get it wrong sometimes. It is not uncommon to see a big share price drop if two large institutional investors try to sell out of a stock at the same time. So it is worth checking the past earnings trajectory of Alba Mineral Resources, (below). Of course, keep in mind that there are other factors to consider, too.
To get a sense of who is truly in control of Alba Mineral Resources plc (LON:ALBA), it is important to understand the ownership structure of the business. And the group that holds the biggest piece of the pie are individual investors with 52% ownership. That is, the group stands to benefit the most if the stock rises (or lose the most if there is a downturn).
And institutions on the other hand have a 45% ownership in the company. Large companies usually have institutions as shareholders, and we usually see insiders owning shares in smaller companies.
