RE: Golden share1 Jul 2023 14:48
Letting it go early helps with sentiment. I agree, we are open to offers now, but when they come in, the nature will be disclosed and the strength we will gain when they are formally rejected by the II's will be key and help with a solid, sustainable, re-rate. It may well be that MM had their support in previous offers, but we'll never really know. With the GS gone, we will know for sure. Yes, we're all here to make money but II's aren't in this for a quick £, they're looking multiples. The fact they're still here when 90% has been wiped off the market cap tells you everything.
Depending on when one bought in, yes the offer situation can be exciting and tempting (especially after what we've been through - I first bought in at £2 and my ave is now 85p) because the sp has been punished so badly, but there are PI's & II's holding here with higher averages than the £2-3 everyone is talking about for a TO. This could be the share people talk about in years to come - God, they were 32p in 2022. In 2026, they're £10?
