Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I think you're getting confused with Sweden. Vallance and Whitty have categorically said on numerous occasions we never implemented a policy of herd immunity. He mentioned in one press conference the term and people went mental. They then met Tegnell to discuss findings and saw the disaster unfolding in Sweden. Facts Regulator.
Can everyone just filter the trolls and not engage? It's just as big a waste of time having to read all you replies. We want to have insightful discussion not playground arguments . Please filter filter filter and ignore. They thrive
and multiply on the replies.
Hanc*CK conference. NHS lady saying they've detected 37k cases using LFTs in last few weeks, continuing to roll them out rapidly as an additional tool to get this virus under control.
As soon as TT is complete we're selling EVERYTHING
My point is GAD has nothing to do with us. It's an independent charitable not for profit. We won't be supplying them, so no piece of any pie to do with GAD.
Mologic is licensing it's tech/test to us, were rebranding then need to sell it off our own backs, independently. We're not manufacturers for Mologic.
Does everyone realise that there are dozens more global producers of antigen tests right? People make it sound like only Mologic have created one and the entire world is relying on them / us to supply them. That isn't the case. Mologic want to pay a part in the supply, with help from the Gates Foundation. Good for them, they're hoping to produce 40m a yr. The rest of the demand will cause more companies and more tests to arrive.
It's the same with ODX, we'll play a part and make a nice profit but the world is not reliant or waiting for us.
Some people on here are delusional or simply stupid.
Why exactly do you think ODX will get a piece of it? That link shows Mologic building their own manufacturing facility in order to produce for GAD ?? Our tech transfer is so that we can make and sell under our own Visitiect brand for a royalty. Completely unrelated
Lots of mentions of "yet'. IMO they are coming...no one ever said they're perfect, our understanding of this novel coronavirus is imperfect. It's about measuring statistical likelihood, being more informed than just throwing your hands up and saying well there are inaccuracies in this data so let's not bother at all!
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/antibody-test-to-check-if-youve-had-coronavirus/#:~:text=An%20antibody%20test%20is%20a,not%20widely%20available%20yet.
"An antibody test is a blood test to check if you've had coronavirus (COVID-19) before. This test is not widely available yet."
"Antibody tests are not widely available yet"
You posted it yourself Twatcher, "PCR test or antibody test". So if it isn't a PCR test...what do you think an antibody test is...
I reiterate, we're currently trusting those eejits for the ONS antigen covid stats. What's the difference?
Teacher - yes, they will measure exactly antibody levels on a sample, but that isn't big enough and will strain resources. You say an LFT can't tell you levels of antibodies? Of course it can, there is a threshold at which there are enough antibodies to trigger a positive result. So you test until you know the threshold. It's not perfect but you can track on a much bigger audience. 1 antibody does not trigger a positive result, I know that first hand.
As requested...massive news. No more derampers able to suggest that the antibody test is surplus to requirements as the state of the pandemic has changed and antigen is the only game in town..categorically, INDISPUTABLY incorrect.
Published Today:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-vaccine-surveillance-strategy
***Zengah may have been right focusing on the hand in hand, developed with Astrazenica line...we may not be using it now when looking to vaccinate ppl, but looks like we def will in the not too distant future to monitor immunity/efficacy
playingtheodds: what do you mean it is not part of the strategy yet? That document was released today: COVID-19 vaccine surveillance strategy.
They literally just announced their strategy!!!!! This is fantastic news, so many ppl, myself included, were doubting if they would even be tracking antibodies, instead they would just keep jabbing everyone frequently as it was cheap and covered their a$$e$. this states very clearly, they will be using antibody tracking on a large community scale, which includes LFT's.
Dodge: you know the country is relying very heavily on the ONS self sampling with antigen right? To estimate current infection across the country?? So why wouldn't they do the same to monitor antibodies in vaccinated ppl at home
Huh?? Is it me or is this MASSIVE news!! Genuinely great news release today!?!?
"• to monitor the impact of the vaccination programme on prevalence of antibodies
against COVID-19 as an indicator of population level immunity, and to monitor
antibody waning in the population"
". In order to monitor vaccine effectiveness against infection repeat asymptomatic PCR testing or antibody testing is required. A number of studies have been established since the start of the
pandemic with routine asymptomatic infection and these will be used to monitor vaccine
effectiveness against infection"
" Ideally more frequent antibody testing would be used and
options for increasing the frequency of testing are being explored."
Put a sell limit order in for your whole position at some silly price like £10, that way your custodian can't/won't lend it out easily for shorters.
Fantastic news flow, hope we're on the radar to supply some of these as millions and millions are going to be needed.
Just reading (old news) about how Slovakia did 5.2m LFT's on a population of 5.5m, administered by medical professionals and in a few days and cut the number of new cases by over 60% in a week!!! If only we could get our act together instead of crossing our fingers for the next 2 months of lockdown waiting for numbers to fall.
They don't have to notify investors of every sale do they? If they sold 20,000 that wouldn't be price sensitive, if they sold 20,000 ten times to different parties, again they wouldn't have to do an RNS. Everyone so desperate to know the day to day workings of every company on Aim but would never expect such updates on FTSE 250 companies. It's draining. It's nice to speculate and looks for clues etc on these boards but to berate mgt is counterproductive. People shouldn't be investing in what is an extremely high risk mkt if the can't handle some silence.
And you have no evidence to suggest that the marketing hasn't led to sales either have you?
On Sky news today, article/video where he says: we may need to be vaccinated every 6-12mths... There is absolutely no doubt vaccines and testing will Still be a feature next year....we will need both the surveillance testing to be able to understand where the virus is And we will need testing for people who have symptoms...
We're ahead of the curve on a global scale so expect other nations to be needing the testing for s long time to come. That's ignoring the fact that variants could drag this out far longer.
Also every foreign traveller now needs s negative test to enter the country. Could well upgrade to a neg on arrival required as well..never know where ppl just print off a neg result from some dodgy place to avoid expensive testing.
