Unbelievable how only 10 months ago there was an offer for 220p (~x10 current SP)…rejected BoD it undervalued the company!

Response to speculation

The Board of Wood notes recent speculation and confirms that it received an unsolicited, preliminary and conditional proposal from Dar Al-Handasah Consultants Shair and Partners Holdings Ltd ("Sidara"), regarding a possible cash offer to acquire the entire issued and to be issued ordinary share capital of Wood (the "Proposal").

The Proposal was received on 30 April 2024 and proposed an offer price of 205 pence per Wood share. The Board carefully considered the Proposal, together with its financial advisers, and concluded that it fundamentally undervalued Wood and its future prospects. Accordingly, the Board rejected the Proposal unanimously on 8 May 2024…

Forget last 5 years, this is now a new company with new BOD. Past has no resemblance to the future. This now an AI company!

You need to look at the SP following his appointment 14p - 2p, SP continuously dropping since he walked in, he is a Uni professor by background and mentions some companies he’s been involved in…but didn’t name them so looks very green and a lot to prove. So far he has said or done nothing, hence the dramatic fall in SP. A good CEO would at least tried to arrest the fall…how about buying some shares for a start?

It’s not sellers, market jitters. it’s the CEO that needs to wake up and udpate the market on progress. It’s been over a month since the J&J RNS, so should be updating market.
