How would you actually even know?
From afar you appear in no position to reply as clearly you don't hold, or ever did hold £5K plus?

I can only share my own experience regarding your question JD,
When buying say £5K blocks, the bid shoots by each trade so paying a perceived premium just heads off the same eventual outcome for someone with less time yet certainly deeper pockets than myself?
