Hi guys am just wondering why my L&G div hasn't hit my account yet? Aviva's has.
Well, as long as the people are running a better and more profitable and sustainable business it's okay for them to be rewarded. It's partly (at least) the greed to drive these people to work harder and more effective to run the business.
Thanks K101! Hopefully this one is going stronger next week! I expect there would be tougher rules on shorting especially naked shorts after the regulatory review on system risk control.

I wonder why the trading volume is small. Not covered by many brokers.
Can't see why this thing is going down so much - overreaction to the virus mutation consequences or just oversold by day traders?

I got a letter from my broker which states 2 options:
1). Receive cash 35p per share (default option);
2) Alternative offer One new Topic unit ( 0.3181 Topco B ordinary shares and 2.8636 Topco B preference shares) for every share held. Resulting stock - to be advised.
Deadline to instruct - TBA
Above options are subject to final confirmation by the Company.
So still uncertain.
Should be positive in long run but suspect that the recent SP rally were market makers' doing to beef up the convertible pricing. The company is agile in their operation and good at cost control. So far as good. Looking forward the flexible working space could be a trend here to stay now more and more businesses have learnt how to work remotely but they also need group space to get workers motivated and ideas exchange. So flexible working is here to stay. Just like Zoom meetings.
Dividend arrived.
Well unless your rights are worth less than £5.00 then you should get the proceeds ..... unfortunately there is no date - My broker told me to look out the RR announcement in this regard.
_______________
-RESULT OF RUMP PLACING
12 November 2020
Following the announcement earlier today regarding valid acceptances under the fully underwritten 10 for 3 Rights Issue announced by Rolls-Royce Holdings plc ("Rolls-Royce" or the "Company") on 1 October 2020, the Company confirms that BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Jefferies, Morgan Stanley, Crédit Agricole CIB, Santander, SMBC Nikko and Société Générale (the "Underwriters") have successfully procured subscribers for all of the 375,096,792 New Ordinary Shares for which valid acceptances were not received, representing approximately 5.8 per cent. of the total number of New Ordinary Shares to be issued pursuant to the fully underwritten Rights Issue, at a price of 90 pence per New Ordinary Share.
The net proceeds from the placing of such New Ordinary Shares (after the deduction of the Rights Issue Price of 32 pence per New Ordinary Share and the expenses of procuring subscribers, including any applicable brokerage commissions and VAT which are not recoverable) will be paid (without interest) to those Shareholders whose rights have lapsed in accordance with the terms of the Rights Issue, pro rata to their lapsed provisional allotments, save that individual amounts of less than £5.00 will not be paid to such persons but will be aggregated and will accrue for the benefit of the Company.
...........
Prolonged negotiation adds more uncertainty so as to depress the SP ..... why pay more if you can get cheaper shares in the nervous market?
