I cannot fully appreciate the challenges you and your family have faced and are facing but I wish you every success in making this dream a reality. I only have 80k shares and a dream too. It might not happen….but if does it would be amazing. I enjoy your positive updates not because I think that you are always accurate or necessarily it is underpinned by robust evidence or analysis but because there is so much negativity in the world and has been for a while, and personal challenges add to that, and sometimes I just want to dream a little too. I don’t take any financial decisions on what you or anyone says but I want to enjoy investing and you add to this feeling. All the best!

Thanks Mark. I am reading something from July which does suggest plans to dispose of a number of investments including Argo Blockchain so think you must be right. Don’t fully understand it at first read but given your link doesn’t include it then must have happened.

I hope we are still holding Argo blockchain as a lot of excitement on the ARB board today. They are expecting fireworks tommorow which should give us a residual benefit...if we are still holding them.

I moved some out of SYME (pre RNS) as was heavily weighted in it. Feeling a bit silly given what happened next. Think it is the right decision to diversify but timing could have been better! :)

I am confused!!!

6 months to complete RTO...is not giving up yet.

Still in with 140k shares. It’s sunny outside, kids are making me a gousto meal so feeling quite happy and positive. Come on MTFB give us a happy beginning.

I’m still in. Not got many (not free shares) but still in and still hopeful.

I am a novice investor so probably not the best person to answer your question.

However my view would be that there are not many certainties in life. I have also learnt a harsh lesson in the last few days NOT to trust others so please be cautious about any advice given to you (including from myself).

I am sure in early December there would have been a lot of people certain around a number of things happening in 20/21 which have since been impacted by COVID.

Unexpected things happen so you should only invest what you are prepared to lose.

Thanks Mark@1973. Definitely feeling a bit bruised tonight but want to learn and get better and ultimately in time hopefully leave a small nest egg to my young children. Tomorrow is another day.

Got a bit carried away TBH. Alarm bells were there but didnt listen to them. Like you said I live to fight another day and just need to be more conservative until I understand how things work a bit better.

Hi all,

on Monday after months and months of being patient my portfolio moved out of the red and 10% up. I was delighted as a novice investor and my portfolio was well placed in a number of good stocks with good entry points.

Today I learnt a harsh lesson!!

I followed twitter advice (Top Aim Stocks) for the first time and bought into this share (as well as a couple of others) and ended up with my portfolio 16% down.

I deserve it! I broke my discipline, my own rules (regardless of whether they are the right ones or not) and ultimately put it down to greed after seeing many stocks pull 100%+ rises.

Being on holiday for a few days I moved from being an investor to a greedy wannabe trader and in 3 days ruined all my hard work.

I deserve it and don’t ask for any sympathy but feel there is value in highlighting to other novice investors.

Be careful listening to others, don’t chase your losses otherwise this becomes gambling and not investing which is what I really want to do.

Will revert back to my slow, methodical and well researched approach and hopefully get my capital back sooner rather than later.

Hope the others who got spiked with this share yesterday also take a step back and think about their strategy.
