Chilting- Enquest doesn’t need oil prices at $70 to complete the refinancing deal, AB could also put up the £50m required at the same SP as it completes. He doesn’t need to offer a discount to shareholders.
Then what ? How would the market deal with that ?

Our SP could change direction fast like it did in Feb, went from 13p to 24p in just over 2 weeks. Nothing to say it wont bounce even faster if we have positive news

Chilt - When you say it needs to be quite quickly for Enquest whay do you mean ? Oil prices are high enough for Enquest to make serious FCF at current prices, Its only the SP that's lagging.

Brent now down another 1.5% from this mornings highs.

Seems to be no bottom here, the market must be pricing in a return of very low oil prices, will Iran and Shale oil force another price war ?
Blimey we've gone from a good recovery to doom and gloom so fast its like the market has mental illness.
I cannot believe we are sitting at 15p with oil prices at $66 Jan 2020 oil prices were roughly where they are now and we were 30p .

The rocket is pointing the wrong way, The only way now for oil companies is to diversify into clean energy along side. Otherwise these big investors wont invest as its unfashionable, the green army is winning

Doesn’t look like oil prices are going to recover from yesterday’s sell off anytime soon, the news reported oil stocks have fallen much faster that oil prices and now showing as way oversold, huge buying opportunities in the sector, on the other side of that renewable energy stocks are now showing way overbought.

If that were the case Squif we wouldn’t have any major shareholders apart from him

If AB has got the spare cash to take ENQ private then so be it, he can have all my shares for 30p
