You’d have to be mental to hold a short on Enquest currently, I don’t believe anyone that says they hold a short or give that impression, he’s probably trying his luck like MRC used to do, talking down the price to buy in.

Pelle, I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet, I will take it up 100% but I’ll see where the SP is nearer the time, just over 5% of our holding is nothing really, the last 2 times stung as we would have been better off not taking it up. I will either sell enough stock to cover it or add funds to cover it, I did say on my last purchase I wouldn’t throw anymore money into Enquest unless I we have a clear path to return to dividend payments again, we still don’t have that. We still don’t have a clear plan for anything. So I don’t know

Over the past few years we have all on here come out with why we think the Mcap is so low and we’ve all invested our hard earned waiting for this re-rate, we are now sitting with Brent in the mid 76’s and we haven’t moved, in fact we can’t even get anywhere near the yearly highs, what more could Enq ask for as a oil company? If high oil prices can’t move the SP, risk reduction can’t move the SP, debt reduction can’t move the SP what Fac king will as we haven’t got much else to blame

Chilting has been pretty close at getting the SP movement spot on, I followed his advise back in Feb last year and I’m bloody glad I did, you’ve given zero advice and if anyone manages to read your posts without losing interest or falling a sleep then they must be pretty damn bored.

From past experience this could jump up in a flash, look at 2016 straight after the OO at 23p, a lot of trolls popped out the woodwork and started laughing and taking p155, but the SP bounced and within a few days from touching 21p it went over 30p and then on to 47p within 60 days.
We are in a far better position now than back then

It’s a gamble really, perfectly timed with the Opec meeting, but could go either way, on one hand a supply increase is a sign that demand is rising and the extra supply is much required on the other hand too much will tip to over supply and push prices down. But overall extra supply reduces the reserve Opec has and tightens the market further.
