The price is holding around the 60-61 mark. It's just waiting for a catalyst before we are in to the 70's I reckon. Tenet figures will be very good, that will give it some edge in the upward direction. The main thing is that the sentiment is positive and cinemas are getting more exposure in the news. People are looking for some form of normality and cinemas are a good haven to switch your mind off from everything. Cinemas are here to stay. I have every confidence in Mooky to adapt to the new normal.
61.40
Ftse is now 6102 and most shares are blue on my screen.
As we get more figures about box office takings of the big movies like Tenet and Unhinged, the share price is likely to spiral out of control as confidence is restored.
I will up early tomorrow to see what happens. On Friday it looked like CINE was pushing hard to get up. I think there is good momentum behind it now.
It's good to see there is more optimism here. What's given me confidence in this share is that the share price has held steady around 50p with a recent spike into the late 60's. I used the opportunity to average down so now just playing the waiting game. All the pieces are now in place, finance is secured, cinemas are open, blockbusters will be screening from next week. The court case is just a sideshow. I don't believe CINE would have pulled out of the takeover without sufficient grounds. We're not out of the woods though as the company has alot of debt and the income this year has greatly reduced. I do have concerns about share dilution or going private or whether a takeover would even benefit the PI. It's always the PI's who get screwed in the end. For me it's about getting in at a good price, waiting and watching, and getting out without getting too greedy. I hope everyone does well here.
You never see the live price here. It's always delay by 15-20 minutes. I am using the IG platform to monitor the live data.
We are now at 50.64
Tenet is going to be massive!
*****26 I think you have a safe average. If the price goes over 55 then you can reduce by selling a portion of your shares so you are not too exposed and sell the rest at a decent profit.
The best i'm hoping for is the late 60's by next week. With Regal opening and Tenet in play on the 26th, the sentiment will change and we'll see the push in the right direction.
This may be the catalyst we have been waiting for. Let's hope this is reflected the share price later by next week.
I agree, it looked like a tree shake. It's looking steady now and at the right level to start ticking up. Live is 51.74
I wouldn't be too concerned about the fate of cinemas from the threat of streaming services. Cine will continue after taking a hit in their income and will adapt to the changing climate.
zoro9791 I am invested in this share and I know I am taking a risk. They have money to keep going for some time and to start getting income coming in again. As for rights issues, I am not convinced it will happen this year. After several months of closure cine have taken a hit along with other chains, but that doesn't mean they will go out of business as long as they manage the situation and adap to it.
The rights issue is very unlikely in the next 3 months as cine have the money to keep operating. The doors are open in the UK. Big movies coming out. Promotion campaigns will help to get the audience numbers up. I expect a gradual tick up in the share price in agust instead of massive run. I am not expecting another £1 but getting into the 65-75 region is realistic within a couple of months. They are very shrewd and know how to weather the storm. It's the rise in infection rates in the US which is holding this down. The only thing which bothers me is the possibility of a second lockdown.
There's been a treeshake since last friday. This will go up soon
Cine is not a tinpot company. It's managed by an intelligent operator who will be moving towards a position of strength having considered the options.
Friday will be an important day as doors open revenue will finally starts to trickle in. I'm not expecting a bug rise here but from a business point of view, getting customers through the door is a step in the right direction. I've come to the decision that covid is something we just have to live with now. It is the new norm.
as you know the booking are going ahead for Friday, so we are in business...
