It also appears this is a launch as such to wider customers , while not eliminating the possibility that they are already working with more select large ones.

So it may not tell us much but it might show where our materials are used…the mention of the colours on the surface of the sensor shown is maybe a long shot!

I find it difficult to think they can talk in detail to the industry about why they think their sensors are better without disclosing what the embedded components that make it so actually are.

If one looks at how the QD film layer is depicted in say a Samsung QLED?

STM use the term quantum film. They use the Nanoco materials through a dot only deal and produce their own ( I presume patented) film which is what is shown in the presentations on SWIR sensors as far as I can tell.

Having cancelled all their previous accounts must be disappointing you can actually still go back and prove they are more guilty than anyone of trying to puff up the likely settlement. How embarrassing for them.

Ignore the witless one ..on advfn they told people to use edison as the best gauge of what an outcome would look like. That gauge was just for the US and just up to CY 2020..so any global settlement for all past and future use should have been greater even with a pre trail agreement and without losing a single patent yet alone throwing 118 in for Samsung.

In hindsight everyone has the chance to make out they were right..before the event not so much. I don’t recall anyone really cautioning against the increasing confident statement s made by the company to be honest. Some maybe got over excited..happy is anyone reads anything i posted pre settlement as there are no telephone numbers in there but reasonable calculations based on guidance and the companys approved commentary.

Share buybacks are meant to be disclosed without delay , the following morning pre market is really the latest..that most companies meet..same with PDMRs dealing. Other no inside regulatory shareholder notifications have a few days grace to get their disclosure to the underlying company who then releases it.

I explained why it was unlikely to be them although it was very much the same as many of their trades when they commenced the buyback so looked very much like it…i reckon Cavendish messed up myself so unclear what actually happened.

Maybe we need to put this to bed..the settlement was lower than expected ..those expectations came from the company. If the company had in any way said guys we did out best we realise this does not meet shareholder expectation but we did our best ..now lets get commercialising maybe the current angst might have settled. Instead they went out on the defensive basically using firewalled models to justify what happened ( not pointed to before settlement though..to temper expectation!) and saying how brilliant they were as the share price cratered with the questions over who knew what surfacing.

I think it was handled very badly and left a very sour taste..the management seemingly incapable of seeing things through the eyes of shareholders who had just been convinced to pony up 37p in a fundraise to pay their salaries.

Any how i am going to try to move on ..my trust is still at a low ebb and the company needs to produce deeds that match words..but my point on risk reward is that what they have set out in the bullish case makes the risk reward even more attractive ..even if there is only a 10-20% chance of that scenario panning out.

Am surprised that no buy back it was a nanoco ptintout ..£99489.48 consideration so £100k including stamp…exactly like they were doing in April. Someone may have realised they couldn’t pay that level!! They were over 10% above 5 day moving..there was not other independent print as high as that on the day and the shares never went 20.023p bid in the day..so they could not pay that level on their own terms.

The other thing i took from it a little was recently Nnanoco has been stressing it is a manufacturer of high margin materials and is not aiming at licences ( but would if pushed kinda thing) i sense from the latest narrative that licensing is a bit more front and centre again and part of the model. It may well be that display could end up being more of a licensing than manufacturing proposition after some initial development /refining of already existing patented recipes ..that would be fine , it might also provide an earlier route to meaningful revues.

..the Indian Ocean looks fabulous until one has a closer examination of what's in it …

Where is charty?

NGR..yes the display is a good pointer too..with a shorter term timescale to their aims…6 months.

I like the fact it is another iron in the fire if it materialises, a separate big end user ( direct i guess?) and a different market..the company could be seen as overly dependent on one of the many potential end uses ( and users) at the moment so some diversity would be good,
