Liz & I have had a crap day, two hours to get to Salford Royal from Knutsford & a two hour delay with no explanation before we were seen. Bottom line is the very serious surgery (6-8 hours) has been fixed at 2 January followed by at best 10/14 days in hospital. The possibility of complications etc has been explained & it is somewhat harrowing but she is a tough cookie & we will get through it.
