We will see. Markets can be very unpredictable. Overreactions take the SP too low, good sentiments make it fly. If the Travelex is 100% back and running and the trading update is solid it can fly on sentiment alone. Coronavirus is temporary, pledging stock as collateral is nothing unusual in business and happens all the time. In fact - not a big deal. As long as business performs nothing to worry about. It should have never dropped below 100p. Still cheap as chips. IMO
KOH
Testing 85p soon
KOH
Yup, definitely. Based on fundamentals It's worth 150p easily, even more after a solid update. The rest is just temp nonsense and overreaction. IMO.
KOH
pushing 79p now
KOH
Based on extremely positive first 9 months, trading update / results for the whole year must be strong. I also believe that cyber attack wasn't as damaging as some think. Even during the down time they were still working generating revenue through "pen & paper" exchange. The whole situation may result in a better security overall and will benefit the business hugely in the long run. Perfect storm will end one day and will all regret that we didn't buy more under 100p. IMO.
KOH
Almost 10% up, Happy Monday!
KOH
Sure, easily. If we get a decent trading update it will fly. Travelex update still to come, online services look good.
It might be a huge re-rating if all the pieces fall into place at once. IMO.
KOH
Over 78p on Google now
KOH
Wtf is wrong with that company (and the share price)? First that weird RNS (not saying anything we didn't know already, why would you even announce it?), starting 3% down and now suddenly 5.5% up in almost straight line for now apparent reason. Manipulation?
Just weird...
KOH
I was going to say - it actually finished blue! Quite an achievement considering it was over 11% down at some point during the day :)
KOH
I agree, PR could be better. Let's hope that IT nonsense is soon over. As stated before fundamentals are really strong and confirmed by financials published on 11 Nov and those temp issues are neither permanent nor irreversible. In a few months time that "cyber attack" will be a distant memory.

Jump or Wait ???
___
Jump, and preferably land on Fraser's face (with both legs).

I spoke to a lady at Travelex today trying to find out about the recovery progress etc. She said that they haven't been told the official date yet but she knows it takes longer because they are not only recovering the system but also implement some additional security features to make sure it won't happen again and it happens "globally". She also said that it could be back "any day" and that IT department "works overtime". Sounds good to me.
KOH
I am really ****ed off I don't have any funds left - I'd be BUYING big time today.
KOH
One word - BUY!

Adjusted EBITDA reported for the 9 months to September 30th, 2019 was $182.31 mln. Strong and on target. At that time the SP was over 178p and temporarily raised to 215p. One could argue that even if they didn't make a single penny in the 4th quarter the SP should proportionally be at least 130p (assuming that Travelex is fully functioning and 100% restored). Obviously that's not the case because they continued to make money in Nov and Dec as normal and they cyber incident happened at the end of Dec 2019 so only Jan 2020 results could potentially be affected. Let's not forget that some of the services have already been restored and the company continued to operate using "pen and paper" (still generating revenue) during the down time. They have a great revenue generating asset and it hasn't changed last month. Personal data hasn't been stolen and they have market leading IT consultancy working 24/7 on restoring all systems which as they already confirmed will happen gradually which is a very reasonable approach considering the size and complexity if Travelex estate. They current SP is a great example of what mindless fear and sentiment can do to a share price. Once Travelex is 100% back this will fly. Bargain of the century below 70p. IMO.
KOH
Well, take advantage!
When is the next trading news does anyone know?
KOH
Why has everything have to happen by the end of March?
___
Because Fraser, his JPM advisors and AA ex Fortescue aussie friends say so.
KOH
Thanks, I agree technicals don't look great atm but I personally try to avoid trading in the circumstances where we can get an RNS at 7am at any day and see a significant re-rating practically overnight. They just need to fully restore the operations ( they already reconnected some of the systems and have world class IT consultancy working on it 24/7), post a decent trading update and it will literally fly. What happens to SP now is purely fear driven. Sentiments don't last forever. IMO.
