Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Have to say @ArK I am already pretty confident about BRH but it does really add to the level of confidence when someone invests that kind of money. Really looking forward to where this might head in the coming few months.
I think the only people who will be able to give you a nailed on date the share starts trading again will be the BOD. The rest of us can only guess.
My hope personally is that they use this time to release as many positive RNS's as they have in the armoury so when the share opens for trade the momentum is up and not down.
As a LTH I have said before I don't actually mind if that's tomorrow, next Monday or March and trust that the BOD will have a plan in place which will benefit the company.
I have to agree however with comments made that if we simply open the share up for trading without any further positive RNS then the share is likely to drop how far and for how long is anybody's guess but there will be a lot of PI's who will have been spooked by these events and may simply press the sell button the moment trading opens.
Said it before a coin flip.
Just been reading the weekend news and couple of things that I found interesting with regards to the BRH test.
In the US a congressman has tested positive despite having both shots of the Pfizer vaccine and is self isolating. So even if you have been vaccinated and you come into contact with Covid you need to take the test and isolate of course if you return a positive.
Second one was from the BBC where a health expert advised that even with a vaccine we could be living with restrictions and testing possibly till 2024.
I know their was disappointment in the delay announced last week and some comments where if BRH didn't get a move on they would miss this opportunity etc. but this is going to be with us a while and also it does appear that even with the vaccine their will be a huge demand for a fast test at least for the next couple of years.
If the test results when they arrive are positive then this is still a very good investment opportunity and I am not sure the delay of a few weeks diminishes the opportunity greatly.
Of course that is only my opinion.
@hahhehehoho Are you sure about the Nanopore as when I looked at this before I invested here the data they shared said the incubation period alone was 35 minutes (Requiring a 35-minute incubation at 65ÂșC) and they didn't state a collection to result time so I dismissed this as not being anywhere as fast as the one Prof Carl and the team were working on. Possibly wrong I often am but when I went back to check the site has no mention of one that is as fast as 5 minutes. Can you point me in the right direction to read up on this faster test ?
Not an expert by any means but I don't believe we have the same global conditions for a crash. Vaccine roll out is moving forward, more coming on the market, faster testing coming soon where the test will take less than 5 minutes and potentially a release from lockdown in the coming months.
Granted some countries will be faster than others but as I say don't see a decline on the same scale. It's not just GGP shares that have come down as you say but not sure it's a trend.
As I keep hearing people say things don't go in a straight line and the fundamentals here are the same. I said earlier this week I actually topped up on GGP and am still very confident in this investment.
I have never invested in mining shares and invested here only lately after watching the board for a few months. Have to say that the fantastic posts and videos got me interested to learn more and although I cannot claim to be an expert I have learned enough from those of you good enough to take the time to inform that I feel this is a really good investment and happy to be along for the journey. I even topped up with a few shares this morning. Looking forward to the next couple of years to see where this goes. Thanks to all the LTH's for all the information you have shared it's much appreciated.
People can really spin this whatever your position is on this share but the truth is it's a coin flip and the only people that really know the outcome are the BOD.
Situations like this however can be avoided and it's disappointing it's been allowed to happen no matter what side of the fence you are on.
As a holder I have my fingers crossed and all we can do now is wait and see.
Looking at Twitter the person doing the questioning appears to have 100 followers and some of his statements if you read back are pretty obscure. Just scanning through I read there is no pandemic, you are a pleb and do what you are told and some of his comments regarding the NHS are just plain crazy.
Not sure if we should take much notice of his questioning the Professor. Time will tell the test will either work or it won't.
That's good information thanks. I have only been investing the past 12 months so it's always good to get this type of information. I thought the RNS was very positive so was surprised not to see things move up a little this morning
I hadn't seen this but would say it was initially published on the 5th Jan so not sure it will be having much impact today. Also if this was a major breakthrough would possibly have been covered by the press just in Birmingham.
It's an interesting piece however and would think a lot of people globally are working on a quicker test. For investors here of course we are hoping we are further along the track than them but as with all things only time will tell although not much longer till we find out.
Hi
I have been using IG for the past year without any issues and the charges seem pretty fair and reasonable. No delay in accessing funds if you do sell which is helpful. Also allows you to transfer funds from share dealing accounts to ISA accounts without issue
First time post long time watcher of the board. I hold 14k shares @ 55p average and I am long on this just for disclosure.
Firstly picked up some really useful pointers from the board so thanks for that.
My observations for what they are worth
1. Some people are posting on this board constantly repeating the same negative messages almost 24/7 and who are not invested I just dismiss as you guys either have another agenda or your filling a huge void in your lives. Why on earth would you take time sometimes hours out of your day just to spread a negative message.
I actually hope you are getting paid for it as if your not that makes it even sadder almost as sad as though who claim to have been invested, then sold at a loss but still feel the need to post here on a regular basis why ? Answers on a postcard.
My view on those posts and the ones which are too optimistic is do your own research.
2. This was always going to be a long haul and yes I probably wish I had bought in at a lower price but it is what it is and the fundamentals have actually not changed.
3. Those saying Cine will default and go bust have obviously never been in business. Nobody wins in that scenario. The bankers lose, landlords lose, the studios lose and Cine lose. Takeover possibly, studio investment possibly but default and liquidation I can't see a case for it. Could I be wrong absolutely but as I said do your own research and invest at your own risk.
4. Lots of comments about auditors statement in the last set of results saying it was unprecedented for an auditor to make such comments. Firstly it's not unprecedented it's more common than you think. One also has to look at it the other way round if you were looking to send a signal out to lenders that you needed their support to weather the storm then this would be one way of doing it.
5. Filter. Best tool on this board. What I am not suggesting is you filter all negative posts but those that simply don't add value just keep repeating old data and the same messages over and over again. There are some here who post negative information in a positive way if that makes sense the others filter.
For the genuine investors holding Cine don't be swayed one way or the other. Each of our situations is different but if you still believe in the fundamentals a loss is only a loss if you sell. If you have to and it's right for your situation do it and move on. You win some you lose some. As with gambling stop when the fun stops.......
Good luck to all the genuine people on here. The rest please accept my apologies for not replying when you no doubt reply to my post, I can't see you as your on my filter list.
