Astraeus is a Titan in ancient Greek mythology. According to the mythos, he is one of the mighty rulers of the cosmos of which the earth, sea, and sky are made. His name derives from the Greek aster, meaning “star,” referencing his stature as the God of stars, planets, and astrology1. In Greek mythology, Astraeus or Astraios (; Ancient Greek: Ἀστραῖος means “starry”) was an astrological deity and the Titan god of the dusk. Some also associate him with the winds, as he is the father of the four Anemoi (wind deities), by his wife, Eos2.
