Better would be to buy something what generates 50k bpd and use profit over years, to pay back full debt faster.

SK I think the plan was to sell Mexico (TD confirmed this in interview), which is at design stage, and buy producing North Sea assets. Which generates profit now, and with combination of £4bln tax credits would speed up debt repayment. This is really no brainer for me.

Lending company protect themselves like that which is criminal I think. But legal. And this is what ARCM did.
So theirs actions can not be seen as acting in good faith. Simple as that.

SK read what they write in last sentence. They want PMO to reduce the debt... And what PMO is doing last years?
Reducing debt year by year by some I do now 300-400mln?
They could buy into North Sea and use tax credit - selling Mexico at the same time made capex neutral, but profit will be generated straightaway from North Sea. No brainier here. They will pay back debts FASTER thanks to this.

And what is making me laugh, as a lender, you are not CEO and you are not entitled to make a decision about company direction. They purely use it to strengthen theirs short position...
