Copper, zinc, nickel and lead all just holding ground on from yesterday but the Glen price current exchange from yank close is 326.22 so wonder how we will do today.
I’m still perched on the fence waiting but it’s fekin hard knowing that pile of cash is sitting waiting and not making fek all.

Scoop it will be safe you know that but we trying to maximise our takings on the run up I missed a wee opportunity there at 326 but I will just bide my time and if IAG drops below 500 il take a few more of them I got 5k shares in it at mo average 532

DT yes IAG good strong company produced massive profit last year. I’m always on the lookout to pick shares like this up to pop in my LTH portfolio, I can see this being in the £7 to 8 bracket in a year or 2 maybe even less, and there’s a reasonable divi to support capital growth along the way.

If it goes below £5 I will add a few more.
PS I’m still waiting for Glen but shes hanging in there this time.

Craig we missed that one but it has carried on up before for a few months it’s a risky one though like you said the other day they got finance problems and a long way to go before production.

Paradigm, yes I am aware of the withholding tax on IAG but can confirm that there’s no withholding tax on GLEN.
FXPO is another company that has a withholding tax as it’s registered in Switzerland, I found out to my disappointment a year or so back when the divi went into my
account and it’s 30% bit of a bummer that one.
I still think IAG will make good capital growth from around this level before the divi comes into play.

George, I think IAG will produce good fruit from around this level and there’s no stamp which helps wee bit.

Scoop yes I fully understand and even if it does drop back im pretty confident it will be in the 360 to 380 mark by end of this year so its a pretty safe bet in my reckoning.

I've just took a few more IAG tonight for me portfolio of LTH but I still got plenty left to load into GLEN im still sitting out for a week see how it develops good luck with your holding Scoop.

Just done quick calculation from the metals low point of 15th FEB till now as I type copper has risen 6.25% Zinc has risen 13.1% and nickel risen 10.02% so going by the profits made from each of these metals I would say this is why Glen holding good ground.

Scoop Glen broke through my upper resistance line on 3rd April when it hit 334.77 but is now back under the resistance.
Glen has on average retraced between 20 and 25p on 4 previous occasions.

I think Glen is holding well against the drop off in copper as copper rose from 15th Feb to 25th Feb it hasn't gone any higher since then, but if you look at Zinc and Nickel they both have made good ground upwards since 25th of Feb so this may be supporting Glens price at present as Glen earns 14.6% from Zinc and 5.6% of its profits from Nickel and 29.74 % from copper, so the former make up pretty much 2/3rds of what the copper earning capacity is.

This is only a theory but does make sense why glen is staying put at present.
I think if we see a fall in zinc nickel and copper at the same time Glen will most definitely drop back.

The chart is showing support based on the previous timescales of around the 315 down to 312.

Scoop I been out this morning just back so will have a look at the charting see how its performing in relation to the trend lines give me 10

Morning all, I’m afraid I just can’t work Glenda out she going against all logic in the chart by rights according to the copper price she should be trading below 320 but she’s hanging in there for a 3rd day way above 330

Mine, she’s got find share account and an ISA and so have I.
I trade from either the laptop or my main computer then the Mrs account I trade on iPad or my phone if I need to deal rather than close my account what I’m on.

Billy yes agree with that on the divi allowance £2k is fek all when we take all the risk we could buy stock worth £60k yielding 5% £3000 we then pay tax on £1000 but we could have a drop in the capital value down to £57k but we still have to pay tax on the £1000 we earn over the allowance they got it fekin made HMRC we take the risk and get burnt but they still collect robbers they are.

I’ve set up mine and the Mrs to go in £20k each mate that shield it from them greedy HMRC brstewards.

Craig Drawdown of your pension after you have taken your 25% lump sum which is the max tax free amount allowed in one lump. You will then be taxed on earnings of over £12,500 for this year so basically if you had no other income you could take payments over the 12 month period from now till 5April next year to a maximum of £12500 before any tax was deducted.
However if you had say bank interest and a small part time job that put your annual income up to say £17500 then you will be taxed on the extra £5000 of income at a standard rate of 20% so basically your allowed only £12,500 per individual tax free.

Hope this egsample explains the taxible implications.

Craig my Mrs grade 11 for council she been there 27years so nice fekin lump to come I’ve told her to take 25% tax free then I will invest it in some good divi stock then have rest on pension, but she’s only 58 so it will be at a reduced rate.
She’s thinking of taking early retirement next year if she can get voulentry redundancy then she will get the full wack without reduced payment.
