The perfect horizon comes to fruition, organised high level sell off, cash moving into recovery stocks resulting in fear private investors panic and start selling or get caught out on stop losses. Phase 2 the same large organised groups that stoked the panic buy the stocks back at a significantly reduced price, meanwhile millions of private investors have lost 0000s by panic selling. Phase 3 Recovery begins average Joe scratching his head wondering why so much money was lost. Lesson do nothing watch it play out, take time out and if possible buy the dips and average down, the rebound comes and boom back to business. The manipulators are the big winners the holders no real damage done, the panic sellers count there losses. Dont panic sell hold wait it out!!

It's great practice and good discipline to have the metal to weather such storms it's the playbook we all sign up for, after every storm comes a brighter day. Phyl my only problem with this correction is I dont have enough hard cash ready to go to scoop up the bargains. Cant have it always. Keep it real team it plays to the book, treat yourselves to a break from the markets and revisit soon..

Phyl this by no means unexpexted it's the annual organised flush out, market forces at play, create a panic sell off wait for the bottom swallop up all the cheap shares. Kayjay the whole markets are tanking, the Nasdaq has been hammered this week this is a correction or a mini crash not much anyone can do but ride it out. Sit on your hands take a deep breath and hold. Recovery Q2

Me too inferno some colossal paper losses, I expect the correction to last a few weeks before the recovery kicks in. My mantra is always to invest in strong companies/ funds and anslyse Qtr by Qtr with a long term view 3 - 5 years and beyond. With that in mind this is a blip in time. All the best.

Inferno hold strong do not worry too much the markets are resetting, money is moving around, SMI has very strong companies with excellent fundamentals and will come through this temporary correction. I was invested last March on the 20%+ drop it rebounded onto new highs. The recent drops are enough to spook but hold and wait it out, add if you can. Fortune favours the brave.

TCM v2 I hear you but it's hard to take you seriously when you copycat TCM v1s name. It lacks imagination.

Your right MK it's a definite market pull back and required in my opinion, likely cash will recirculate soon and Q2 will see progressive all time highs.

I expect cash has moved over into ASOS today on the back of the Topshop launch. Natural profit hunting, boo will recover soon but expect Feb to be steady with stronger performance in March into results. Red days buying opportunities.
