Yep its all about the confidence in moving to production, the plan, costings and timings - with the size and quality of the deposits confirmed and more news to come on further exploration that comment by Zeus that it thinks SML has moved from a speculative mining developer into a strategically important mining company is hugely encouraging

As I say I'm as green as can be - what happens if one of the bigger boys buys up SML, do our shares get converted do we get an offer price to sell at and if I for nistanc didn't want to sell at that price but they do get enough what is the new share price SML's or the other companies? Sorry this is basic for for many of you but some clarity would be appreciated...

As I understand the curve the dip comes after the rise that will probably come when we have news of production timelines, costings and permissions etc. That'll bring a lot of interest and move us up to the next level, assuming all good. The dip is when the diggings starts as it'll take time to get the stuff out, and money will move out as it can be made to work elsewhere before the mine starts full production and selling. The question is how much of an exodus is there during this fallow period? That'll all depend on how much is held by those who've bought in at much lower prices (all us LTH's) and how much they'll make when it hits production and are prepared to let their shares sit there in the meantime. Just my opinion of course and I'm as green as they come but holding and will continue to do so.

Feels like we're in a bit of a cycle of 2 steps forward 1 step back - as the rises are enough to trigger day traders while the overall trend remains upwards. Slow and steady wins the race I reckon but could always be helped by an RNS and maybe some clairty on things like progress to PFS and those mysterious other minerals they've teased.

Agree with everyone - the Baron post is a fantastic advert for SML and the numbers they quote and the comments from Zeus re the Tungsten price just leap off the page - the only things that's missing has to be the plan to production, more fixed costings and the timelines - once they are revealed then it's gonna be multiples of multiples above where we are ...

It's staggering - but there appears to be not a single downside to this share (famous last words I know) and in fact more good stuff to come with news of further exploration and expansion of the field, the news on other potential minerals which was teased in the presentation, the fact this is confirmed as a globally significant asset with an extended life (Zeus still working on 16 year not new 29 year mine life) incredible grade quality and, well as Baron says we could all go on extolling it's virtues. Surely we'll see a big surge tomorrow..?

I'm still quietly fuming over the way they flooded the market with all the new shares - when I bought in a few million shares gave you a decent holding then it all got diluted...

Big chapeau to the new management team is the answer my friend - finally after the clown show that was the previous "all talk" brigade this team know how to move a project forward, I know the Tungsten rise has helped alot but they did the square root of FA and showed no ability to actually take SML forward. If I could see the potential in the massive (even at 2020 survey levels) and invest at 0.23 then how the hell they could fail to take advantage is shocking..

Don't get me wrong canillasboy my 20p quote is along the lines of, who was it Naomi Campbell?, saying "I wouldn't even get out of bed for a £1 million pound shoot" - I mean I wouldn't even let the thought of selling enter my head until the market starts taking this seriously... but the long term future here is pretty much a once in a lifetime opportinty for those of us who got in really early and kept the faith - I have shares I bought at 0.23 a decade ago and it'll take many multiples of the current price to pry them from my (hopefully not!!!) cold dead hand

When there's a FV note from Zeus that has the kinds of numbers and projections that it does and the variants they've used like Tungsten price are not so much conservative as risable, the projections are just so massive with more potential upaide to come with ongoing exploratory drilling - then anything less than 20p wouldn't even make me acknowledge any buy request - my average price is 1.8p and I'm in for the long haul after 10 years of waiting

It strikes me as a LTH but far from informed poster that the next meaningful mov't is surely going be on the news of the other minerals teased in the MRE and presentation (assuming they they're positive) but more importantly when news begins to emerge about the PFE. At present, as wonderful as all the news had been, everything is still in the ground and until there is increasing "certainty" about how and when they're gonna be mined their value is assumed - does anyone have any insight into when the PFE might be, end of year?

Not that any will care but the arrival of certain posters on here (not you hoppa) is making what was an interesting forum for discussion into a pantomime. So I'll go back to checking what I believe will be the inevitable rise of SML and my millions of shares over the next few years elsewhere . I've reported the obvious trolls and if LSE can't be arsed to take action then so be it. GLA

Addicknt - comments were just around if any were fleeing if they saw the price falling and were rattled - as you say anyone can read the RNS's and see this is sound and in the long term, incredible (hopefully medium as well!!).

This is the time the Angel and Zeus reports would help a lot to calm nerves for some. The fundamentals for this company are completely sound from all I've read and the upside is huge. Ok so it's going to take time and after the wait for the curtain to be pulled back for the MRE it's basically just revealed another curtain for the Prefeasibility... but after having an asset value go from 300m to 1.5 BILLION (based on a fairly conservative pricing of key metals) and it go down makes little sense other than there's things like an awful lot of rerisking going on perhaps with this seen as a new floor.

I dunno but as mentioned previously the likes of John Peters and Peter Wale bought considerable shares at fixed low prices back in 2021 and 2022 and you've got Philip Haydn-Slater who I think bought 5,000,000 shares at £0.29 in August 2025. If there's one big issue with SML it's that it has a preposterous number of shares out there so over subscription does weaken it.

Some initial comments from Zeus Capital note earlier:

"Taking our forecast tungsten price of $850 mtu APT and using Strategic’s NPV figure of an NPV(8%) of $0.88bn equates to a share price of 32.8p per share (unrisked) and 9.8p per share (risked at 30% of NAV). These are quick calculations and not our fair value but set against the current share price shows what could be achieved as Strategic go through the study stages. We will publish a new fair value based on Strategic’s new MRE numbers plus our own internal assumptions of price, costs (operating and capital) and throughput shortly."

Angel and Zeus taking their own sweet time with their rerated FV .... would you regular traders expect them today?

Makes sense - didn't the old BoD get a shedload of shares at a lower rate - so if this is a new floor, they sell the old shares pocket the cash and then buy back in at this rate knowing it's only going one way over the long term. There are loads of buys going through at the same amounts as they sell so it's a replenishing exercise by the looks of it and keeping the SP stagnant.

Thanks Overhyped - yeh I get the model - but as you much of the real downsides of the orphan period are mitigated here, they've fully funded, got or are getting gov't backing, PFE likely in less time that the "standard" and I would have expected a jump because the sheer scale of the rewards and confidence in the management... oh well the wait for retirement will have to go on a wee bit longer

Overhyped I get the Lassonde curve makes, perfect sense - saying that there's a big dip when you're in the phase between valuation and exploitation, I'm just a bit bemused because the value of the asset has, what tripled?, so would have (with my primitive brain) that the SP should in some reflect that with people getting in early as the potential returns become apparent. Presumably though to answer my own question it's just us LTHs saying put as new comers have gone to use funds for more immediate returns and significant increases will only come when they can see the money....
