Warrie, after a year of investing you still have a lot of good and bad times ahead. that's not a reference to GST, more just the fact that most 'amateur' investors lose out over the long term. that's not trolling, that's a just a fact.
the issue here is that ALL of the good vibes, outside of company news is from private 'amateur' investors. doesn't really matter how successful they've been in the past or how many times they say they were 'smart' about ARB or some other company. there are plenty of other examples of failed investments. i've never heard anyone posting that they pretty much lost their shirt on, for example. MODE? similar area of business and from glorious start, died.
the fact is, there isn't any interest atm from ii's and the wider investing community really needs the support of recognised names to be investing and i'm surprised noone's putting at least a tentative toe in this. a lot of shares have been sold by exBoD to retailers when it would have been a godlen opportunity to take 50-100million for a relative pittance, but didn't..
one can argue that they won't get in until the company has proven itself and they'll start buying at ... pick a number. you could also argue that now is when big money can be made by retailers. but, if Bake tells you anything it's that shares just aren't guaranteed. if RR can fall to 60p fom 400 and then rise to 600 it shows that even blue chip companies aren't always up.
no doubt the response here will e 'just trolling again' but they're fair points. if something bad turns up there'll be a log jame for the exit and, if that happens, then it'll be another chance to get in. but, atm, GST is unproven and unproven companies can fail as well as succeed.
i don't expect anyone right now to worry about the sp spiking but it'll be interesting to see where the sp levels out at after the interims, if Easysend completes and Trump takes over. you only have to look at GST's own history to know you have to be prepared for unforeseen eventualities. noone, for example, foresaw the bad mistake of the clns that saw the sp fall to 0.3p.
the BoD may well be canny but their future and yours aren't nec.totally aligned, other than everyone wants to make money. but it's not a bad place to be atm and for the near term.
