“ It's interesting to see a similarity in bitcoin miners and the Playboy brand (PLBY).”
I wasn’t aware that was the case. How are they similar?
“I don't think the price peak for miners (Mar 2021) is anything to do with bitcoin. 'Peak speculation was in March-May last year. It's all been downhill since then, give-or-take. “
If it isn’t coming down with btc, what is taking it down?
“That's why I think all this 'fundamental analysis' that people do on bitcoin and crypto miners is nonsense.”
Arb has about $100m in btc and revenues of $120m/year. It has 25% of Pluto Digital, owns two data centres in Canada and will have a state of the art data centre in Texas. It has 1.7EH of miners. These are fundamentals. You are saying it is nonsense to consider those fundamentals? Really?
“No-doubt, each stock has its own idiosynchrasies, but they're all just 'flies riding on the back of an elephant'.”
Well, that’s a couple of hundred million idiosyncrasies in assets and $120m idiosyncrasies every year in revenue.
Since you have already bought, sold and are holding Arb, you must have your own way of valuing the company, other than the nonsense fundamentals.
