Well, are not all but the most banal of forward-looking statements presumptuous, by definition.
It’s marketing. The “smart” epithet is in contrast to the “buy more rigs, mine, hodl” approach, probably best expressed by Mara. “Smart” conveys the ability to react and benefit from changes in the environment, like increased spotlight on ESG, Chinese miners being banned, or availability to overclock cheap second-hand mining rigs.
Words are definitely the best way for them to describe what they want to do and inform shareholders. I’m not sure that your disapproval of individual terms will cause PW lack of sleep.
I’m happy to receive a sense of what he wants to do, without a need to approve or disapprove.
