Fair enough but that’s the bet now that on the table sadly. timelines of both parts in transit and the drilling itumbula has zero set backs!! If Lorna believes there is chance of a set back of another beyond 1 week it’s not a risk she will commit to with an estimated spud date. That would result in baker hughes, geolog etc finishing contracts as initially expected and the full new campaign planned for Q2. Itumbula then straight over to tai again after the rain season. That’s my bet but good luck
Joe do you think they will be drilling over Christmas?
It’s a 2-3 week wait on parts plus a 2-3 weeks drilling campaign IF all goes to schedule this time. Funding Qs will be asked at the AGM and they can’t put that to bed with all the additional expenses taken on the last few months. They will need more safety net funds before the next drill turns incase it goes wrong! It’s literally ground hog day from the last time this played out in the 6p placing… fear of further dilution at much lower prices will hold this back IMO
Maybe, but once they leave the tai C pad they’re not getting mobbed back in until April/may onwards. So the next question is do they delay itumbula until they can hit tai C straight after rather than pushing it through in the coming weeks and hope for no delays into Christmas.
I’m not sure but worth a thought.
Couldn’t agree more gogs, pr has been shocking.
My concern is the lack of details is due to the lack of commitment to deliver it promptly. 2/3 weeks runs into Christmas, Christmas runs into on site staff contracts ending, then we have the board decision of is it easier to drill itumbula back to tai C basement whilst all the teams onboard on a two drill campaign to make it cost effective as this campaign was set to be. If this is the case then they will have to go after the Vuli rains (Q2) They won’t get the rig back into tai anytime soon once demobbed!
@wolfman, my views a lot different. I would say they are more likely to chase itumbula if they’re unsuccessful at tai. If they hit at tai they will be forgiven should they wish to change the game plan of course, a failure at tai will of course push them on to do exactly what the 6p raise was for. Also my understating is itumbula is on higher ground with local hard top roads already. No not a risk to the Vuli rains providing we are demobilised in good time from tai site.
For the record I’m confident we will be successful at tai and push on to itumbula.
The PR under Lorna has been sh*t! She has shown zero interest in impacting the SP with her PR right? We have numerous examples to back that up.
The timeline has slipped and could be one of many things during the drill. What makes you think she’s interested in updating the market to manage a sp now all of a sudden. I trust two things 1-if it’s a duster as this guy suggested then market would be made aware they are now eg moving to itumbula 2-when they get to TD we will be updated as she prev stated. Last update 48hrs ago was we are still drilling so that’s my assumption still. See what next week brings in update is my mind set. GL
Absolutely, away at the moment so just trying to keep up with a great news day. Good to see a set out timeline been beaten for a change and that was a solid an rns as we’ve had in awhile. Clear (apart from the re commence date) and also confirming itumbula eliminating any doubt of a second hole or not.
Great stuff, GLA. Feeling nervously positive this week it’s finally happening. Upwards from now
