In a recent interview, Ed Mead, Western Australia Director for Wishbone Gold, stated that the assay grades at the Red Setter project are better than what is currently being mined at the nearby Telfer gold mine.
Specifically, the following details were noted regarding the grades:
Comparison to Telfer: Mead and Wishbone's Chairman, Richard Poulden, noted that the open pit at Telfer operates at approximately 0.5 g/t gold.
Red Setter Grades: Early drilling and assays from the Red Setter Dome have shown higher grades compared to this Telfer benchmark.
Analogous Structure: The Red Setter project is considered a "lookalike" to the Telfer Dome, located approximately 13km away, and shares similar structural mineralisation patterns.
