All we have to do is say... if you want to sell to the UK, you have to manufacture in the UK, and if you don't expect to pay big tariffs. That would stop all the tax dodging too.

And the higher prices would be offset by the increase in wages from the big drops in immigration with a proper immigration policy.

Haven't you noticed the global trade war started by the Worlds Biggest economy and our biggest allie? All we need is the right leaders, and we'll join it... those manufacturing jobs you speak off will be repatriated tot he UK if outsourcing is suddenly unviable due to tariffs.

That's what I've been saying for days mate... I watch everything they're saying... I know the EU didn't want it. The first inclination of this was when Mogg had a meeting with him.

We've been more or less offered a Canada Style arrangement, but this absolute clown Theresa May is trying to give both the EU and Parliament an ultimatum into accepting her pathetic plan. She's going to end up causing a No Deal that will make a lot of people unhappy, when she could do the Canada Style deal and keep most remainers and leavers happy simultaneously.

Only to say that we're clearly headed for a NO DEAL and the remoaners must be getting angry...

1. A second referendum is being denied consistently by Theresa May
2. 80 of her own MP's the ERG are going to vote against it if it even gets past parliament. No doubt various labour MP's will too.
3. Barnier, Tusk and Verhofstadt have all said the Chequers plan is not acceptable in terms of the Facilitated Customs Union and Common Rule book, which is arguably the two biggest aspects of the plan.
4. Theresa May keeps pushing the Chequers plan despite strong opposition from both the EU and the ERG.
5. Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc we're getting closer and closer to the deadline.

Looks like she either backs completely down and goes for a Canada Style Agreement which properly ends Freedom of Movement (unless she fudges it again) or it's a NO DEAL 🤞 💪

But this couldn't possibly have anything to do with Lloyds Share Price... Lloyds couldn't possibly be a UK bank affected by the UK economy. 🤣

I agree both Bond prices and Markets would come down... the Stock market is overvalued anyway, anything of that nature would facilitate it dropping.

But so would the dollar, which I notice you have not acknowledged despite me stating it twice. Can you not see that a weaker dollar coupled with Tariffs against China would be to the US's favour in terms of attracting manufacturing back to the USA?

That's factually incorrect. Supply and Demand determine price. If there is less demand, the supply has to drop its price in order to create demand... there would not be sufficient demand to meet a rapid dump of US debt by China.

Sure if they staggered the selling of the debt there would be demand to meet the supply, but then that would defeat the purpose of trying to screw America up financially by dumping it's debt as there would be sufficient demand to take up the staggered selling.

And by actively selling US debt as I said before they would only drive down the dollar and hurt their own competitiveness. Mick if China really thought it was that easy they've have done it by now.

They might try when they run out of ammo, because the half a trillion deficit is not in their favour when considering the amount of tariffs available to each side... but it won't work.

You don't think the Chinese would have threatened to dump US debt if it were that easily? It's obvious their retaliatory tariffs are pitiful in comparison to the size of Tariffs the USA is able to impose on China... if they wanted to match like for like it's obvious they would threaten to dump US bonds/treasuries yet they don't.

The Dollar would be pushed downwards along with the plummeting bond prices... that would make the USA more attractive to the companies currently manufacturing their goods in China for two reasons...

1. A cheaper dollar means bigger margins in exports of goods produced in the USA
2. No US tariffs to worry about if produced in the USA.

So hopefully China does dump some US bonds, and drives down the dollar... then any currency war they try would have less effect if the dollar is also dropping.

Mick... you conflate monetary size with volume traded they are two very different things. A market is about trade... it doesn't matter if you have $100 trillion of goods to sell, if you don't have the transactions plentiful enough to make the market you can't shift the merchandise as quickly as a market that does.

You will never struggle to fill a Forex order the value and volume traded each day is astronomical. About $5 Trillion dollars is the value traded in Forex on a daily basis.

About $700 Billion is traded in Bonds, so the Forex market in terms of liquidity and ability to actually carry out transactions is about 7 times as big as the bond market.

If China suddenly wanted to dump all or even a big portion of it's US debt there's no way in hell it could find the buyers to do so before the price plummeted to the point where they'd be taking a massive loss doing so.

That's not true, the Forex markets are the largest financial markets by a country mile.

For the Chinese to dump the debt, they need buyers. Buyers don't exist to suddenly gobble up all the debt being dumped. Your statement is not realistic... the Chinese would lose money and hurt themselves more in doing so.

LLOY's discount to projected 5 year future cash flow is £1.01 at the moment. But it's PEG is 1.2x which means it's seen as a very slow growth prospect...

So the fundamentals conflict... probably because it's heavily focused on the UK... instead of going after faster growth opportunities in other countries.

Good... the USA has $21 Trillion in debt, and a trade deficit in China's favour at over $500 Billion. China isn't interested in negotiating, so it's good too see the USA going toe to toe with them.

Mick haven't you noticed the fact that Austria, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Slovenia, Estonia and Czech Republic have all voted in governments critical of Islam and mass migration?

What makes you think the UK population is special and doesn't have similar beliefs to those 7 EU countries? Or the fact that France, Germany and Sweden's fastest growing political parties are all Critical of the Islamisation of their respective countries?

Successive polls all the way up to the election put immigration as the number one reason for wanting to vote out of the EU. And it all happened when Syrian Muslims were emigrating into Europe in massive numbers.

The fastest growing Immigrant demographic in the UK is Islamic. You'd have to be thick as two short planks to not compute that.
