The market is there for AWE - imo the London lisiting makes sense to serve them all: US, EU, China
See ARM for lessons on share price movement: ARM hat sales of about 40mn GBP in 1998 (8 years into its existence) when they went public (IPO price around 600p when I am right). Four years 2002 later you could pick them up at IPO price level. Sales rose to; 15 years later, sales were at around 600mn GBP. I am curious to get your growth expectations for AWE - obviously a few guys expect yoy growth rates of a few hundred percentage points each year. My levered FCF model is fine with the current path and aligns with ARMs development. If Barcap is running an inside job and is right with AWE @120p I will take the offer.
Microchip Technology itself is in interesting / worth considering play on Datacenter and Computing, Automotive, Communication etc. Natural fit for Alphawave. Happy to update my (levered) FCF calculation for Alphawave, when they give us an update.
For those of you interested in AWEs market(s) - new Pialis post. He covers:
- Megatrends in datacenters / servers
- Optical connectivity
- Future of Co-Packaged Optical connectivity

straightforward reply to Amichalskiuk mail (thanks). IBM situation as I suspected: research vs currently implemented tech; the current market environment is starting to sell loss making business and as AWE is into intellectual property with already profitable business (2021 will be off due to IPO costs I guess) I have another supportive factor
Check out the ARM chart - first years share price didnt move at all. AWE picked up cash on the IPO which will best case invested wisely to kickstart growth. Lets let the shorters sell their lended shares and than we will get a more naturally priced AWE share.
ARMs shareprice didnt move the first 3-5 years when I remeber the chart correctly... AWE is half a year after the IPO. New Canadian 20-30 people team they purchased with an annual revenue of CAD/USD ~6mn. So lets see for further revenue increase...
