We know the bod does not take a salary ! We know they have bought large quantities of shares over the years. With that in mind has anyone ever sat down and using ballpark figures ) re salary for similar bod posts, using averge return on investment compounded over the years in even boring safe areas adding in what share options these professionals would have had with other companies, the pension contributions, medical cover expenses, etc etc etc !!! added all these things up and worked out JUST HOW MUCH SKIN THE BOD HAVE IN THIS GAME ???
Take that number and then ask themselves what would i settle for per share given that level of " deffered gratification " That has been practiced here for the last decade and more ????
Im guessing ( total guesstimate if ya like ) but i would expect that anything less than a quid a share would be a percieved as a negative or an let down however you wish to couch it !

Hey dont judge the only reason folks play the lottery is the half hour daydream before ya check ya numbers right ??
