This ridiculous spread isn't helping however! in addition every rise is curtailed by removing online trades ! Like it or not many pi will only trade online and as such switching to nt every time there is momentum is in my view market manipulation. Tight grip the MM's have atm , cant keep it up for long though and then we will see a true re rate!

Seems to me they do not wish to sell cheaply ( in their view) however there are probably sell orders/top slicers sitting just above 0.7 ?? once the I's are dotted re paperwork, they will be more than happy to trigger those sells but right now that would be a risk in their eyes. To my mind the spread says to me that the MM are pretty sure the paperwork will get signed ( high ask) but are not in the gambling business and as such do not want to trigger the sell orders (low bid). And in that respect im reassured fwiw.

It is the culture of bail out that pervades society! Began with lloyds names back in the day, put up your house as collateral reap rewards for years and then when lloyds of London had a very bad year claim "mismanagement" to avoid having to meet the responsibilities you singed up too. I would like to know how many "claimants" actually benefited from payment protection insurance and yet STILL managed to claim against ppi ??? You signed up for something that saved your " bacon, your business or your house" and then got a refund because you were mis-sold !!! Laughable. Its becoming pervasive, fact is someone once said no con no scam and no swindle EVER worked without greed ! Yet time and again the banks refund greedy yet stupid individuals when they are taken for a ride and pass the cost of said stupidity onto others. In the case of banks because no one pays for bank accounts in this country its the share holders who pick up the tab. Personally if an account holder has been conned and are refunded by the bank their account should be terminated as a " bad risk" Any other business would do it. Ok im done rant over :)

2p ish dividend ??? recent events have shown that this share will be 65p once the B becomes history! by that i mean Brexit and Bercow the biased. So i have added at these silly prices safe in the knowledge this will be one to top slice in a couple of months!!! Just get the divorce payment agreed in sterling let corbyn in for 2 years and it'll only cost us 15 billion instead of the 39 !!! plus the price of imported goods will be so high we may even start making a bit of stuff ya know actual manufacturing (being facetious by the way! just explaining for the challenged among us ) If this ( brexit) happens we will see in 2020 with a government, with a strong majority and there wont be a red flag in sight...

genuine question, when a company has a share buy back program in place AND a deal which they know will cause a rise in sp does buying shares prior to the deal being announced constitute insider trading? AND if so was this possibly why the share buy back was suspended ??? I know the official reason was last minute ppi but could this pending deal have also influenced the decision to suspend ??

Uncle doug copying and pasting motley fool posts hardly constitutes an opinion much less a recommendation! personally on balance doing the opposite of what the motley mob recommend is the only influence i allow that site to have on my decisions. Tesco is a massive truck trying to make a turn into another direction,IT TAKES TIME... 27% market share compared to 6% is for the German discounters! Oh and any worries about EU sourcing post Brexit or pound value yada yada remember the discounters entire model consists of sourcing cheap Eu produce any "hiccoughs" post Brexit would seem to me liable to affect Aldi and Llidl MORE than Tesco but im just an old fool not a motley one.

Woodfords flag ship only just closed and already noises are being made about " mis-selling" Its laughable, it began with the Lloyds "name" back in the john major years, for decades Lloyds names had made large profits underwriting Lloyd insurance policies, then a bad years for natural disasters meant that these people had to stump up for the first time in decades.A few of them were Tory Mps and one cant sit as an mp when a bankrupt so began ( in my opinion) the culture of take the profits and then when the losses arrive squeal like a pig..I remember reading somewhere that " no con no fraud no scam or grift has ever worked without one component.... greed. The time has come to say we now ALL know now that most " sure things " are hogwash and its about time to say, Ya pays ya money ya takes ya chance! from Lloyds names through ppi and now trying to claim an investment was mis sold ??? or maybe move into low debt equities like banks insurance etc ? even better invest in peer to peer or gambling stocks no debt there no bond holders either :) there are options but i do believe legislation will have to come that limits the % of an comp that the bondholders can seize thereby removing the wipe out scenario. Failure to act will soon have si's and pension investors disembarking and then the share world is in a mess. In my view only of course. gla

Ma owns 29% and his shares are currently languishing at 2p ( is if he bids say 6p a share you would expect the sp to rise to plus 5p at least [possibly 6p which means his 29% would then have the value of at least 54% at current sp ??? in other word this increase in his own share value would offset aprox 29% of the whole company orrr he would be paying say 4p a share for 54% and the rest would cost him the full bid price of 6p ...in effect ! i think :)
