Not Peter Mandelson's best moment!!!
I want to be the person at Chevron that comes up with the names for new oil/gas fields.
Tubular Bells!!!
Wonder what Mr Oldfield had to say about that?
In all seriousness it's looking very exciting all round so bought some more.
Good luck all...Mick
Very interesting. Acquisition of Exxon Mobil's entire upstream and midstream assets in Chad/Cameroon.
This is going to be a monster!!!
RTO and Suspension
To paraphrase Oscar Wilde:
"to lose one director may be regarded as misfortune; to lose all looks like carelessness".
Recent events could be massively positive or the alternative doesn't bear thinking about!!! The silence is deafening.
Good luck all...Mick
I've also been here for a VERY long time and vividly recall those posters on ii especially ceobob who was a massive advocate of Char. I have to admit to being a fan of SupremeDalek and vespa the wasp!!!
I originally bought in at the low teens when Credit Suisse, or whoever, was selling out and held all the way up to the top of the hill and all the way back down again at a cost of a multi six figure profit. I eventually sold out for a modest profit and bought back in a couple of years ago despite having grave reservations about Larry B.
I'm hoping that Namibia will eventually come good if only to prove that I was right all those years ago (as well as Marcio Mello if anyone remembers him) and what happened to Brazil???
Anyway, good luck all...we deserve it after all these years.
Mick
This is the sort of stuff found on Twitter this am.
ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE BLOCKCHAIN PLAY

This is courtesy of one Craig Fisher. He's not alone with Goodshare1 and William The Conqueror (thought he died centuries ago???) spouting similar sentiments.
Think you'll probably find a concert party who've already sold.
Was able to buy 100,000 via Barclays this morning at 3.58p. Toe in the water. I remember GRH from the ii GKP board and still trying to work out that New Balance reference!!!
Good luck all...Mick
Had the same problem but it's now working.
A few points of note from the results:
1. Debt position reduced from US$484m as at 31/12/2109 to US$460.5m as at 30/6/2020 and further again to US$426.8m as at31/8/2020. A reduction of US$57.2m in 8 months. The cost of servicing debt is 11.9% so plenty of available space to refinance which should be a priority.
2. The average gas price was US$3.9mscf which appears to be on the low side. I also hold shares in Chariot who are moving forward with their Lixus prospect offshore Morocco and make huge play of an average gas price paid of between US$9 to US$11mscf. Could someone with industry knowledge explain this huge price difference.
Overall, I'm happy to hold as I can only see blue skies ahead.
Cheers all.
I wanted to make it 57 for a variety of reasons!!!
Has anyone received a phone call from American sounding ladies purporting to be acting on behalf of an entity attempting to take over HML? Had one such call last night and another this afternoon. They claimed to have acceptances for 42% already and now looking to retail to get them over 50%. Bizarre thing is that I sold my holding here a couple of years ago. They were both very persistent resulting in me terminating the calls in a none too pleasant manner.
Cheers...Mick
