Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I've been involved in Falcon since the Foldeak days myself. I recognize some of the names on here from the old Agoracom board.
I'm still highly optimistic on the Beetaloo, and believe that further exploration and appraisal will continue to prove-up this world class resource.
As for the South African acreage, I seem to recall that years ago, another explorer did a relatively small frack on a simple vertical well, somewhere in or close to Falcon's Karoo acreage, ... and at least initially it demonstrated something around 2 Million cubic ft/day of gas, which is highly encouraging.
Perhaps some of the long timers will remember the details?

Yes, it was certainly challenging. However, basins often take many years of trial-and-error, along with advancements in technology, before explorers are able to 'crack the code'.
The first step of course is to have sufficient quantities of hydrocarbons present, which I think has clearly been shown at Mako.
Therefore, given the favorable 'macro' set-up we find ourselves in today, I was just wondering if Falcon and/or some other entity would be willing to give it another go.
jmo
I realize this is completely out of left field, given the understandable current focus on the Beetaloo ...but I wonder if any further significant activity will take place on Falcon's Mako acreage in Hungary?
While the previous testing results were mixed to disappointing, we know that there's a VERY large volume of gas in place, which was demonstrated to be 'moveable'.
Technology and techniques (drilling, completion, testing, etc.) for unconventional formations have advanced since they tested the Foldeak with Exxon 12 years ago.
There's areas and formations at Mako that haven't been fully or adequately tested yet, ...and again this is in light of the advancement of industry knowledge over the last decade-plus.
Given this is on land, in Europe, and coupled with today's tight supplies and high prices, ...perhaps Falcon/potential JV partner(s), would be willing to go back and give the Mako another look?
jmo
Another potential catalyst is the possibility of Origin farming out a portion of their Beetaloo holdings. As Schlemiel pointed out a few weeks ago:
"In today's [Origin] Annual Report :
'We are considering farm-down options for Beetaloo in parallel to our appraisal activities.'..."
The price that Origin would receive on such a deal could serve as a good benchmark for the value of Falcon's Beetaloo acreage.
My guess is that value would likely be much greater than the current market cap of the stock.
just my opinion
I think the likely outcome is that they're going to raise the money on their own for the upcoming work programs.
At this point, they might as well do so, ...as the increase in share price has given them more flexibility in that regard.
jmo
Nice to see a positive update regarding the flow rates.
In fact, I think this may be the most significant update the company has ever put out on the Beetaloo, ...because it ties in directly to the potential commerciality of the play.
just my opinion
"It is not the intention of Vast to provide funding that may be required for the acquisition of the Ghaghoo Mine from new equity raisings..."
It may not be their 'intention' at this time, however, ...that doesn't mean it won't ultimately happen that way.
And given this company's track record when it comes to numerous, repeated placings, ...it wouldn't surprise me if it does.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit.
just my opinion
I've noticed FARN has had a nice little 'stealth rally' in the last few months, ...slowly but steadily rising over 30% off it's recent May lows.
I get the feeling some quiet accumulation is going on here, ...and some positive things are happening behind the scenes.
jmo
I heard JA say on the recent Proactive interview that they have a Joint Operating Agreement (JOA) "drafted, and close to complete".
I think this strongly suggests the potential JV exploration/drilling consortium is clearly at an advanced stage.
jmo
It may not be a stand-alone RNS. They may group it in with a bunch of other things as part of an overall 'operations update'.
Nevertheless, ...the official spudding of a material, high-impact well is something that often generates a news release, particularly among small to mid-size companies, and my guess is TXP will do just that.
jmo
Given the amount of time that has gone by now, coupled with Royston potentially being their largest prospect to date, ...I personally consider the official Royston spud to be 'hard news'.
My guess is TXP will issue an RNS when this event occurs.
jmo
I just got back into TRP today, after being out for a while.
Whereas other oilers have done very well, I saw that this was languishing near it's 52-week low, so I figured it might be a good time to pick some up.
Hopefully they can 'close the deal' on whatever partnerships/JV's, etc they've been working on, and then finally move forward with their work programs.
GLA.
