Not so Jonny I reckon it charges the chamber on the upstroke pretty quickly and discharges more slowly on the downstroke due to it going into tanks. Pressure from down hole would help it fill quicker too
Remember the oil is being pumped to tanks so the downstroke will be slowed so as not to over pressure the storage tanks. If it was being pumped through a pipeline it would be speeded up.
On pumps I’ve used the upstroke draws the fluid out through a non return valve and the downstroke pumps it away. If it only takes 6 seconds to fill the pump chamber it must be a big pool of oil.
I can see a cup with a broken handle balancing on some head and shoulders with a reverse double bottom lift. I can also see a stranger coming to the door bearing news.
After what the share holders have been put through SS should be making more progress reports it’s been over a week now, something must be happening behind the scenes.
