Thinking about it, after the ban tv oems can carry on making tv's it is only the high end hdr quantum dots that need to be modified to be cad free. Oems if they want hdr only need one or two models, so it is entirely possible the ban could take place. OEMS can either carry on as they are without qd, use oled or go cad free quantum dots. What is the rohs small print, no new production or no sales after nov 2019? If no production then all new models will be cad free or no sales then they will need to dump stock cheap. ME could of given a tv update, especially after all talk over the years.
