I fear you are very close to the mark. My mistake was to misinterpret the statement in the RNS "the Board has agreed it is prudent to undertake a capital raising to ensure that Tangiers is well positioned to fulfil all of its obligations associated with funding of the drilling program." to mean that they were prudently undertaking a capital raising exercise to ENSURE that Tangiers is well positioned to fulfil its obligations assocoiated with funding the drilling program. You have my permission to call me a mug! I don't mind the duster, that was always a risk, but some of the other stuff is decidedly fishy.

Was just going to post the same. Looks like some information has leaked out. The volume is reasonable and at this spread the buyers must be confident about something. Interesting.

Try as might, I find it difficult to find a positive angle on this suspension. Like everyone else, I am disappointed and have mentally written my investment. I have really enjoyed the ride, though. But the sun is still shining and I would like to thank Chinaberries, Arminius, RobbyB and many others for their good natured helpful and informative posts over the years. Where do you think my sign-in came from?! Kiss of death. My finest achievement was when I decided I was useless at AIM, sold a whole bunch of carp and lobbed the lot into a safe blue chip (BP actually, 48 hours before the Macondo well blew. Absolute truth). I can't bring myself to admit what other stock I currently hold, but,yes, a small punt on REM with an average of over 1p. Good luck with all your investments. I don't usually give advice, but I could send you a list of my holdings and you would probably do very well to short them all to hell and back!

Shedloads of snow in Tignes. Can't expect much from this share at the moment. Just consists of the bits of the old company no-one was interested in! Maybe we will hear about some new venture in due course, but I don't expect anything soon.

It will be interesting to see if LEL makes any announcements in the next 2 weeks. Manzoni has a formidable reputation and I reckon he will want to hit the floor running.

Wordog, count your lucky stars! I am in RRL, JLP, LRL and BHR and was in KMR. Still, I am relatively healthy and have a lovely family and it takes more than tanking commodity shares to take the smile off my face.... (well, most of the time, anyway..)

You may well be right, though, if news of this has leaked out, I would have expected a lot more sells. The sp has dropped on precious little volume.

My somewhat uninformed guess is that we are not a tempting t/o target. Prime targets tend to have seriously undervalued assets. At the moment it is difficult to put a value on our assets (except the cash in bank). The fact that the market currently puts zero value on them reflects this uncertainty.

Can't see any reason why they wouldn't be.

LRL up 3.3% in Oz. Volume a bit higher than usual, but still pretty low. So not very exciting there (yet).
