have you sold now as it's going down. Hope you have not lost much unless you are keeping it as you think it's likely to go up again.
How high do you think this will go?
Do you mean you have purchased some of these shares because you think they are likely to go up quite a bit or do you think they will go down?
Not sure if it's true or not but I sold my AL. shares today at a loss anyway so that I could have the cash to purchase better performing shares. I will probably buy back into these when they are cheaper, which I think they will become.
Read that article and it said the share price fall was overdone. That's the reasons why I got in as I also thought the drop was to much when it's got a good past history and also it's making a profit. The main cause of larger falls was because there were a sell off in many stocks yesturday, which helped this fall further I think. I'm looking forward to the increase of what I said.
The reasons it fell so much yesturday is because there were wide losses accrossed the board of shares. If many shares gained yesturday then I would think this wouldn't have not dropped down as far as what it did. So I think this will recover to around 240p - 250p, but will take a little while to get there maybe.
So realistically these shares have been going up for over 5 years now. The graph gives an upward trend for the last 5 years and then a large drop in April which was on because there were a split about 3.2 to 1. Past history is good, so the future is more likely to be alright, but not 100% Dependant on the past, but does help somewhat.
The thing is, it's pizzas and lots of people like pizzas and they have to eat. Hope it keeps going up and I will then sell at a good price.
Whoops, I mean I bought it at 209.43p. That was the cheapest I could get it and I didn't want to wait for it to get cheaper again as every time I was refreshing it was going up
I bought these at 207.25 just now. I think that was a good price as these are quite low. Sell in a few days if they go up, hopefully they will.
And not forgetting if we have the rate cut in about 30 min's to an hour. If that happens then it's likely to go over 800p tomorrow and also hopefully finish that way.
Or maybe it will reach 800p this week if no bad news and profit taking happens or just small profit taking.
I'm glad I got in at a price of just over 734p per share. I first thought it went down mainly because of NRK and that's now the reason for recovery as what happened to NRK is very unlikely to happen to AL as people first thought due to them also being in the Wholesale Mortgage market. Hope I'm right anyway and if so, I believe the 800p barrier will be reached one day next week if no bad news comes.
Yep, nice to see 2 days of nice gains from AL.
I posted about that in the NRK forums.
I was thinking about buying another load of this share when todays losses happened when it was down around 22 points. Gutted I didn't do it now as that would have given me a nice % increase. Nevermind, it's nice the the banks are rebounding from their early losses. My shares are not doing to well this week either apart from BB. All the others have moved slightly either way to finish roughly where I bought them. Saying that, I did purchase them earlier this week and some last Friday.
I've only started noticing it what you said about moving from Al and then BB. One minute the shares in BB. are about to go into the blue while AL goes further into the red, then it goes the over way around, via versa. That's been happening quite often today, I've noticed. All I ask if for them both to move north.
Gutted I have shares in BB. and AL. I had sent the same amount of cash on both stocks. I guess I will have to cash in on BB. first and leave AL. as a longer investment. Must admit that the div when I bought was around 7%+, and must be much nicer now at probably around 8%+. Got to check this out as I may get into these again once they go lower, but these do seem riskier to hold than BB. as they have more in the wholesale market than them from what I heard.
Prices went so high earlier that I recovered all of my losses yesturday, covered all of my commission charges and made a profit. All that has now been lost.
I just looked at the volume of the barclays shares as I also have some of them which has been rather volatile. Some large trades at the end of this share, There is one that is just over £88m and a few others that is over a million as well. Hopefully this will bring a good day to both AL. and BARC.
