It's funny. When you posted that article on the 10th of November you didn't ask who paid for that to be written or who was behind it. If you're going whinge at least do it with fairness to each side of the argument.

When you look at the trades, there's tons of red and more than enough that are into the hundreds of thousands.

Any insights on the marketing strategy and making the case for PF and cultures meat on a more public and larger scale? They opened a YouTube channel, made 4 videos and still only have less than 100 subscribers. Surely that can't be a result of their best marketing efforts.

And as StopAnimalAgri said, info on portfolio companies that have gone silent like bluenalu. I'd also like to hear an update on vitro labs.

Really good listen this. Mark speaks very well and it's obvs a wealth of knowledge on the subject. Some figures of interest to me were the finish product quantities. 600 to 1200 tons per run. To put that into perspective, Solar Foods can only do 160 tons in a year. Identifying that scale up was an issue and actually addressing it by starting liberation labs was intelligent move by ANIC and I personally regard liberation labs as an ace card in the portfolio. Really exciting company. Really looking forward to seeing some of their news feed and linked in posts come Q2 2025.

I've had it myself. The powder looks and smells the same, it mixes well and it tastes just as good as any flavoured protein shake. I'm not sure if it's just in my head but it seems to digest a bit smoother, perhaps due to having no lactose. Who knows.

The price is a bit steep. 13 quid for 500g but it is being shipped from the US.

Just an added note. This is actually really exciting to me. I've been holding this stock on and off since 2019. Following every bit of news and sounding like some sci-fi but when trying to explain it to anyone I know and now I actually have a product in my hand. Feels like the future has arrived.

The article states that solar foods can produce 160 million tons a year. Solar foods themselves say it's 160 tons annually. Somebody got carried away obviously.

Could you provide any links? Names of companies etc. I'd be interested to read about the other precision fermentation facilities.

Better Dairy have a small section in Moo's law so Mellon has definitely taken a look at them. Mellon says the company is distinguished by its focus on machine learning which sounds innovative. They may scale up to 10'000 litres for proof of concept on a mass scale. Mellon also mentions that they're operating out of shipping containers since COVID forced them out of their labs. Make of that what you may. Maybe Mellon thinks that Better Dairy can't hang with the bigger players like Perfect Day or Formo.
