Seems to be a good resistance at this level, my thinking is that people are buying in at 80p in the hope that this SP will increase when pubs reopen (including myself)... MARS may be losing money but they have a strong balance sheet and are 'set to emerge strongly' (stated in their announcement) as one of the survivors of the pandemic.

IMO I can't see much travel this year... more people will be staycationing again which will mean more money for UK pubs/restaurants

Could be a bumpy ride with the SP for the next while though, I mean TUI has taken on massive billion euro loans and look at the state their shares are in. Just going to er on the side of caution until there's a bit more clarity with air travel

Bollinger bands closing, shorters on the run! Hopefully will hit 90p before the report (may see a drop for a couple of days come then)

IMO its safer to open the pubs where you are socially distanced and restricted... people will just drink and have parties in their homes if they remain closed

I think it will be a strong open but with the good publicity MARS has received today there'll be lots of institutions buying in over the weekend and investors next week...

Looks as if its correcting big time, everyone is getting a feel for how strongly MARS will emerge I think

Now that its broken 77p I think it could go back briefly to a decent pre-covid level of 90p very soon...

Hopefully the shorters won't come and ruin this rise

You have to remember that once the vulnerable are vaccinated, restrictions are going to start lifting for pubs big time, which will most likely be by Easter. MARS will emerge from very strongly this pandemic, particularly given the takeover.

7.5 was my buy-in but I mean this next announcement could be last time to buy back in at these levels. Investor sentiment alone will push this anywhere between 11-15 pounds this summer

Totally agree, 6-7 was my buy in target on the announcement but turned out it hasn't hit that.
