Dan, I spent most of 1999 in Spain where I met my 2nd and current wife. At that time I had a red hot broker who was dealing with new issues, i.e. launching new companies onto AIM, the profits were staggering just in hours. The stake money was usually £10k and that turned into £30k by lunchtime and that was on a daily basis and that went on for months

I mentioned FARN this morning. Dan, retirement isn't necessarily a long way off for you, I stopped working when I was 37 and I'm 57 now thanks to the stock market. You never know what might be round the next corner, it was the dot com boom that stopped me going to work.

That wouldn't have worked on INDV on 25th July, I got in at 9:00am and out by 12:00 and made a profit. The mistake I made was going back in on the 3rd day and they carried on dropping after that. I don't think there is any set rules on here that always work

I slipped up going back into Capita after already having made a profit on them a few days before and I made the same mistake with INDV. I need to stop going back for a second helping because 9 times out of 10 it doesn't work second time around

I'm the same Dan, I have very little patience for anything and I don't like seeing lots of minuses in my PF. My definition of long term usually means holding for a few weeks, but I suppose KOOV and MTR could end up being years

Dan, It took a few years to build that ISA up but you can dispose of it quickly again on here if you are not careful. So much for a tax free ISA that is not making me any tax free money - lol

I need to change my current strategy because it hasn't been working very well recently, yes I have had some winners but too many losers. My current loss even includes about £3k of dividends

I forgot to say I've had hundreds of trades over the last 3 months, some very profitable upto £7k but far too many confirmed losses

I started with an ISA of £96k and another account with £60k. I've stopped using the other account that now has £62k in it but I'm currently £9k down on the ISA but a couple of months ago I was about £6k up

Capita is down to where it was in 1997. That's turned out to be a sh*t long term investment for anyone who wasn't checking their investments regularly. They will be no better off than if they had left their money under the mattress for 21 years

I'm down 13% on MTR but then I did buy some more yesterday

I was reading an article the other week that claimed 85% of people who play on the stock market actually lose money, so I assume that means the other 15% are either just very lucky or have access to insider info, I would say the latter

Yes I saw IIP chancers, maybe not so good. Capita is at 123.20 now

Ignore the CRV, I think its a glitch

I hope it is going to bounce soon DAN, my average in Capita is about 131 now
