@Sundenza I don’t know where you are getting your information from, but what you are saying is wrong. Firstly if you are shrewd enough and lucky enough you can make money with a quick “in and out”. You don’t ALWAYS lose with spread betting, there is of course a big risk.
With regards to you stating the company is doing fine, yes its profits have increased, however you are missing some important information, that is scaring the market and reflective in the current SP. IMO you won’t see the SP hit 200 in 2024. Growth isn’t expected to be particularly strong in the coming years, and that’s a real issue for investors. Then there are the fuel prices to consider, fuel accounts for 25% of its costs.
Also you are missing the fact that IAG, although it has a hedging strategy it’s USA counterparts don’t! Thus, as IAG has a joint business with American Airlines and Finnair and at the end of each quarter they pool profits! Therefore American AL can potentially drag on the profits of North American Routes!
Although you are entitled to your opinion, stating a company is doing fine, when it clearly isn’t and there are issues, is not great advice
