in life there is a consortium of investers who have a diary of up comeing news, as news draws closer, a % of the consortium are drafted in to pull down the price, at first its just 2/3 , mean while the consortium are building stock, as time grows closer to news, others of the group are pulled in to put confidence back in the stock, pushing the s/p back up, once there % is hit, small sell will appear, ( the recoverment) leaving a free ride ,as news gets closer, more % of the consortium will arrive, then BOOM.
