That got me thinking Barksy1, and wonder if Ganfeng might add to mining and battery recycling in Sonora with a battery plant, they do have a battery division developing solid state batteries.

Feeling like these prices will be a distant memory.

I would say the outlook for battery demand has changed dramatically over recent weeks and Sonora is the only focus BCN needs, stage 1 and 2 might be significantly higher production, just getting their house in order it would seem IMVHO.

Absolutely good news that Ganfeng are looking to further invest in lithium in Sonara and very likely multiple lithium compounds - what will stage capacity be at the start of production!

Just a footnote, my link to the FT article was at 8:54 a few minutes before the full article was posted on KDNC by Barksy1, my source was a twitter notification from my following of Bacanora's twitter feed, Barksy1 is a long time valued contributor and I would always acknowledge posting from another BB if that were the case.

Will we get an update on production, seems Ganfeng are running the show - I'm not complaining the battery industry is on the cusp of colossal growth.

Plenty of BYD buses running in SA that could feed the plant, something tells me they won't just be producing Carbonate and NA seems to be where Ganfeng see Sonora lithium being supplied, that's a change in direction to where Peter Secker intended even as far back as the Tesla agreement he was adamant Asia and Europe - Ganfeng have big customers and their three year supply deal with Tesla is due to end soon, I wonder how the new deal will look?

That's an interesting development Barksy1, could the further funding follow for the mine if the Mexican gov responds with some assurances?

BCN could be a real bargain between now and end of the year.
