And yet the shares are up 2 8%

Nothing, so this weakness is something more than the above that remains in the eyes of shorts and the market.

Im not pointing the finger at the board, just saying there is an ongoing risk which must apply here and is not related to the above.

That's my feeling too, and even to just check timetables, TRN is my go to.

I guess my point is, that however good fundamentals look on paper, as with TRN and FUTR, its feeling like they count for nothing.

Lodan, Greggs are now at over 13% short, but the shares are stable, hardly moved in 6 months.

I think there is a difference between just going short as a hedge and active aggressive shorting which seems to be the case here.

Im unfortunately stuck in two now, that are profitable, cash generative, but are just consistently falling. The other is TRN, that have even upped their guidance and enhanced the buyback, but they've more than halved in the last year like this.

So much for research and sound fundamentals.

Marble bar over 2%, increasing weekly, they are destroying the value of this company now, why are they solely targeting Future?

Maybe we've all got thus wrong, and there's some nasties lurking in the closet.

At least with other highly shorted companies, there seems to be reasons behind it, profit warnings, significant headwinds, but to be regular increasing their shorts at 4 quid is now leaving me question everything here.

Unfortunately the shares will remain subdued until a new CEO has been hired or something positive from the results, or any takeover rumors..

This reaction today is just typical of how this market values a " supposedly growing, cash generative and profitable company."

One thing is certain, that most investors who have ploughed money into this company under his reign, are considerably underwater, and i for one wilk welcome a change.

Totally agree SG, for a company that is forecast to almost double its EPS this year, something is seriously wrong here.

Wish I had your conviction Griff, and just went ahead to average down, but this seems to be one of those companies than operationally performs well, yet is consistently ignored by the market.

It feels like it needs something extraordinary to change the fortunes of shareholders.

Like a TO, or starting to pay regular dividends.

And for me it grates that a ceo has just taken throughout his tenure, taken a salary, taken free shares, sold half immediately after vesting, and not purchased any since 2021.

And from what is supposed to be a growing company, the 5 year chart does not reflect this at all.

The JPM downgrade, and the underlying elephant in the room, GBR, seem to be the only thing that this market reacts to.

Ford hasn't purchased shares from what i can see since 21, 5 years ago, the chairman doesn't buy shares.

Something had to change to restore some shareholder value.

Marble are nearly 2% short now, betting heavily against this specific company and probably this inexperienced BOD.

And all they can do is muster up cash to buyback about 20k shares.

Absolutely pathetic and we're all paying the price.

Dont get carried away there, still a mountain to climb for most.

If and when 500 arrives again, then momentum is back.

These so called impartial and unbiased MMs are just as likely to change the spread in the blink of an eye, and I fully expect they will at some point later ( hope im wrong but I'd rather be glass half empty here).

And just like that these 5cumbags change the narrative.

I would bet there are over 10% of shares in issue loaned to shorters, why on earth management aren't trying to counter that by increasing the pathetic level of buybacks is baffling really.
