Advice: Dont extrapolate your view of the world to others. There are many additional interests than the economic ones. What is concerning is that the cards have been played. Either the licenses are not renewed, or the PM leaves.
Hi again - here you can find an article that gives more light of the situation (apologies, in Spanish, but you can translate it online). https://www.pulsoregional.pe/2021/11/22/el-conflicto-en-ayacucho-y-el-anunciado-cierre-de-mina/
Hope it helps
Hi all - my 2 cents (I am Peruvian, not holding HOC shares). If I need to bet on next steps: Government will NOT change its course of action. PM is notoriously known for her position AGAINST mining. They have played their cards. Retreating will be considered as a sign of political defeat. However, opposition will use this as an argument to gain power and potentially, impeach the president. All these events will take weeks to come. Ultimately, I think common sense will win. However, I do see a lot of volatility and down pressure for the stock. Good luck.
This was posted minutes ago on Twitter - not a coincidence imo. https://twitter.com/orosurmining/status/1362694249830055937?s=21
What do we expect? For Brad to buy 1 million shares? Rome wasn’t built in 1 day. He bought. Full stop. It’s a good sign. Nobody buys something to please stakeholders, but expecting a return.
Good message imo.
Drilling results are positive - we know that. Share Price (now) may not satisfy the expectations of some, who may have wanted to sell after the 'big jump'. Reality is that many of those day traders, have sold today. Others, may be discouraged due to the Sp behaviour. My view - if relevant to some - is that drilling results reduce Omi's risk of failure and increase its chance of success. It should give confidence to people that - besides the involvement of 2 monsters - the company is in the right track to deliver a positive return, which could be unique - for shareholders.
