Unfortunately I could not attend. Was there any mention of progress on the marine license?
At present I’d take 60p and accept a small loss. Unless we see a favourable decision on the ML very shortly don’t see myself taking up the offer.
On this occasion I think I am likely to take up my allocation and support the offer. Like probably many others, I feel too committed to sell now at a substantial loss. I don’t doubt that the enterprise will ultimately succeed in some shape or form going forward, there it is too much at stake politically for it to be permitted to fail. My principal concern is that JW has continually overstretched his ambitions and as such, at some point the enterprise may well run out of cash and fail. As shareholders we are then left with next to nothing as the assets come under new ownership and control, at a considerably knockdown price.
With low interest rates as they are, an apparent strong pipeline of projects and some valuable assets you would think borrowing would have been an option. I wonder if it was investigated.
As a result I’m 16k worse off than I was at the end of last week
I guess participating in the 1 for 6 is a way of averaging down. In the absence of the ML this is becoming a highly risky investment. I guess I am prepared to continue to support, but losing confidence in JW. If the enterprise ultimately fails would we get anything back from sale of the assets? I recall someone saying the Appledore could be sold for housing development!
WinH, good summary, you forgot the FSRU - what ever happened to that?
I live in hope that one of JW’s horses comes in before the next cash call.
Bubble, if only the wind were to blow consistently all of the time, sadly that is not the case. Thus the need for gas storage and looking not too far into the future probably hydrogen.
Reflection of an incompetent management team and concern that going forward, given the opportunity, the incompetence will continue.
Reluctant to sell, I live in hope. Certainly won’t be participating when they next pass the hat around!
Drifting downwards in the absence of substantive news. Can se 30’s. looming large. Have we now thrown in the towel on gas storage?
More funds for the ill conceived Egypt venture! Just have to hope it does the trick, can’t help but think reinstating the dividend is still some years off.
These shares are pretty tightly held so I should think that this may well become a rerate not only based on a recognition of value but also shortage of supply, as demand from new investors exceeds the supply made available by existing holders. I for one ain’t selling any of my holding until the sp has risen substantially.
