The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Applegarth - difficult knowing where the bottom is at the moment with every day that passes, the share price being attacked by derampers, shorters, naysayers and panic sellers. I think we'll see sub 2p soon enough and that's where the buying may recommence in earnest. No point topping-up right now IMHO. The share price is jumping all over the place.
Jippy,
Haven't you got a few blinds to up today, pal? My customers need their battered sausages and chips and yours need their blinds and shutters installing. Uncle Jezza did warn you to proceed with caution but you never listen to him. You can't say that I haven't tried to help you.
The BOD have nothing to say because there is nothing they can do with a bear raid like this. Unfortunately, this share has been so hyped that this IMHO was bound to happen. Sub 2p here we come....and still I'm not tempted. I now don't trust this share in the slightest. I avoid volatile shares. No good for my blood pressure.
Bill,
So what's your strategy? Pray tell? To stare at the screen and watch your paper profits dwindle away. I'm mighty glad I got out of this dog before the fun and games started. Have a very careful read of that article again and you will see that all is not what it seems. It's not even a hare worth trading because it's just too unpredictable at the moment. And yet JippyJazz had yet another one of his crazy top-ups this morning in an attempt to impress the ramping brigade on this bb. You rampers ought to be ashamed of yourselves for creating all of this unnecessary hype. You were warned by a few of us last weekend but you chose not to listen. You had this coming to you and you only have yourselves to blame. Greedy and blinkered.
Russky?
What have you got to say about things now? You had a lot to say yesterday didn't you? That bottle of vodka you were going to give away in exchange for me.....I suggest you keep it and down it in one because your need is greater than mine. Numpty.
I would recommend that everybody has a very careful read of that article that Crudetrader has posted. One you start to peel away the make-up, you start to see the cracks. I'd therefore stay well clear of this share. It has made me think about whether or not it is worth taking-up a position again here. For now, it seems this share is a trader's play thing. Sooner rather than later it will become the LTH's worst nightmare. Be careful what you wish for and don't let yourselves be fooled by the hype. There are clearly fun and games happening behind the scenes.
Recommended people look at it when it was around the 1p mark. The sensible money was made between that point up to 4.25p. No, I'm not coming back to this bb in exchange for a bottle of vodka. If you had offered me a spam fritter then I would have jumped at the opportunity. This bb has become extremely toxic with people trying to sue one another, so I think I'll leave you all good people to it. Trellis? Let me know if you are still intending to throw a party at yours before you head-off to sunnier climes early next year. I'll make a special effort to attend. Since last chatting with you, I have been drinking a lot of Malbec. Very agreeable too. Thanks for introducing me to it. #maythefezbewithyou
I can't see any deal being done for months. I will reiterate the 'T' word to you again: 'timescale'. These things take time. As Elvis once said, "only fools rush in."
I'm very displeased with Russky slating me yesterday and then going across to the SOU board asking them if they'd have me back in exchange for a bottle of vodka. Very rude.
Jezza
Thanks you for your kind comments, Bill. I bid you farewell. Busy for the rest of the evening now making sure my customers are fed. Let's see what the rest of the week brings. Either way, you wouldn't want to be out of this one come the weekend.....I think!
Yeah the chippy is busy tonight. Almost time for me to get me gloves on and me white apron and hat. I wouldn't mind a quote for a new set of blinds above the chippy if you have a spare moment? Zealot has been slaving hard down there today. Now my go. Laters everybody!
Russky - I promise you that I am telling the truth. More than happy to let you see my paperwork showing my buys and sells. What I won't accept from you is you rude, nasty comments that are very untrue. Deal with the facts before you pounce on people. You are behaving like a real rookie.
Look at all of those people who are now nursing paper profit losses. Each and every one of them were warned and they have the cheek to come on here and commiserate with each other after having dished-out a load of abuse to people like me, my brother, lamtree and Elenor.
Russky,
I actually recommended to them over at SOU to jump in here if they wanted to look at clawing back some lost money. One or two of them did listen and did just that and I suspect have made some good money. Jarrovian is one of the posters and another chap who came on here a week-or-so ago to personally thank me for saving his financial situation. They are the sorts of stories I love hearing. I like to think that I am more of a help than a hinderance. In time, I hope you will see that I can be helpful with some of my observations and predictions.
Russky - stop being another one of those numpties. I originally bought in back in April 2014 and didn't sell a single share until recently. My average back then was 1.09p. I sold-up and got back in again with a 2.50p average and managed to derisk and sell-up again on this nasty drop. I may buy back in again around the 2p mark, but will only baby step my way in again in case it drops-off further down. You have to remember that the share for a very long time was stuck at circa 0.5p, so IMHO the clever money was made between the rise from that level, right up to the 4.25p level. What we are seeing now is stop losses being taken out, panic selling, people finally deciding to take some profits (please take note, Jippy!) and a natural correction after what has been a monumental rise. I don't what else to say to you? If you need me to show you proof of this then more than happy to do so.
Well hopefully the BOD have had their wake-up call. They need to think harder about the timing of their RNS's and obviously the content. There is no way as a CEO, I would have dropped that ill-timed RNS on Monday. All that it has done is to create distrust and make people jittery. I still wouldn't top-up right now. The share price is way too volatile. I think the real buying zone right now exists between 1.8p-2.25p, but we'll see what happens over the next couple of sessions.
Russky - they are begging for me to come back over at the SOU board. They miss my good humour, as it happens.
I warned them over there of the impending doom. I lost a few grand there, so it's a memory I'd rather forget thank you very much. We were all duped by a Liquidity Event that never was. Charming.
The BOD had this coming to them. They drop a couple of RNS's that has clearly spooked the market (evident in the falling share price) and they have the audacity to appear surprised. Who are they trying to kid? This is what happens when you treat PI's with contempt. The trust and the enjoyment factor goes and people move on with their money and place it in other stocks, which have been alluded to on this bb.
I can't see the big news landing until some time in 2020, which is why I have been mentioning the 'T' word i.e. 'timescale'. Usually, but not always, the share price dwindles during times of very little news flow and I can see that happening here in the interim. Hence why I recommended people should perhaps consider derisking their investments. There however still appears to be a hardcore group of rampers on this board who are hellbent on topping-up, which has today added to their misery and to tell people to "hold". That's really not good advice and quiet unfair actually. DYOR.
Jippy - I wish you luck, pal. If you're prepared to wait for a bit then I think the rewards will eventually come your way. Just look after yourself though when it comes to profit taking. That's all I'm saying. I did that with my money here and I made £7.5k in 2 weeks, which as I said the other day is a drop in the ocean for many on here, but nevertheless is not a bad slice of wedge for a fat loser like me.
Stockdale - I'm just a sad, lonely man living above a chip shop with an eating disorder. I come on here so I can be kept company whilst my simple brother goes out and does his 12 hour shift. I hope that makes you feel better about yourself?
