Mizman, Trump is saying it loudly because 1) he's American and 2) he's in a war with China. I expect Boris is doing the same but quietly and behind the scenes. Forewarned is forearmed, so why let a country with whom you are going to reduce or stop trading know what you are doing?

TomE, I had Artemis till recently. I made money when I sold, but I sold because although ii show them in a portfolio you can't trade live, so there wasn't enough control for me. ARV shares could have plummeted like a stone and I wouldn't have known about it till the next morning. It's LSE policy not to have them on an LSE terminal (cos it's ASX - I asked).

I agree, PDMSPiper, as NCYT state in their RNS, despite having proved the superiority of their single gene test, some countries insist on two-gene and as that's, 'impairing the company's ability to enter certain markets', they're going to produce a two-gene target test in 5 - 9 weeks. With that kind of confidence I don't see any mergers. I do think there's room in this world market for more than one product, particularly looking to the future. I'd hope that if this thing mutates, our scientists will be that much further forward to combat it.

Hello all, I only have two shares that are performing well this morning. I'm not going to say which two - I'll get shouted at. All the rest are down. It could be that there's been a lot of unsettling news overnight - Scarborough Shoals spat between Australian Fleet and Chinese Navy cos the big boys won't let China play in RIMPAC this year. Russia being accused by US and UK of sending a potential weaponised missile up to test taking down a satellite. China thinking of cancelling BNO validity. China shutting a US embassy (probably tiny). Anyone seeing a trend here? The shares will pick up. Patience. Enjoy the weekend.

it's a lot of shares, based on nervousness from the sound bite today that a trade deal between us and the EU won't be done by the end of July, ie, ever. Political brinkmanship affecting the market.
